My mod is basically a mutator to AA anyway. :? Call it the "Overload" mutator :D

AA : Overloaded

Does that mean that the next Spring version will be out by then?

abut EE thing, what bothers me the most is that i cant see bulets --> and allmost all other rTS have visible bulets (ta, CNC, age, etc). What is more, lack of MM makes it more predictable -> i have 60% of mexes, i will win. other than that, great mod!
What a load of bullshit!

We were playing a 2 vs 2 on foothills the otehr day. Me and corbeau vs Journier (Who is omgwtfdamngood) and another guy that I can't remember.

Me and journier were on the left hand side and butted heads pretty quickly. Unfortunately he got the upper hand and I was forced away from the middle. He had all the mexes in the center and was easily doubling my 17 income.

THrough sheer tactics and trickery I handed him AND HIS ALLYS ASSES TO THEM.

You don't need frickin Metal makers, you need a frickin brain!

BTW I'll happily serve up the replay if anyone really cares that much.

Plasma weapons cannot aim in a way that would make the shot exceed its range (and the dgun is plasma in Spring). AFAIK only missiles can do that.

Here is the replay.

If I had done a better job of scouting I would have won a lot sooner, but he had me fooled into thinking that he had an army back there.

Was a real fun game tho.

BTW jackson5 is one of journs many smurf accounts.

IIRC, that's the game that gave me an appreciation for minigun turrets. I didn't manage to generate much offense though. Missile turrets behind walls (or dragon's teeth - whatever) are nasty. I really thought that we were toast until the enemy flank ceased to exist.

Deception is one of the fine arts of conflict ;)

Actually, after watching the replay again, that's a really fine example of EE in action. Despite the fact that I did my best to play like a complete moron.

Really, there were a ton of choices made in attack direction that could have completely changed the game. Every player had a real chance to win the game outright, but chose either too cautiously or too recklessly.

Another factor shown is how static defenses work in EE. Basically, they're the con unit's way of participating in the battle, and can be very strong when entrenched. At the same time, they cannot respond to enemy movement and they are very vulnerable to artillery (note the damage my single Aruora caused to Dark's defense line given time... if only I'd gotten more instead of building and suiciding laser tanks!).

AA needs to be merged with FF. They are both arm and core, but one is planetary and the other is orbital.

Yes but AA is fast and FF isn't :P.

thats entirely relative.. Optimus's version of FF is not that fast compared to say AA, but then AA is not that fast compared to some other mods.. so its all relative..

NanoBlobs?

Lolz. NanoBlobs is so fast, newbies die to even mediocre players in like... a minute. I can't say that was the best design decision ever made, if popularity was the sole goal ;)

I was trying to be unspecific about mods not previouly mentioned to avoid offending players/mod makers who somtimes take their mod being labeled as slow/fast as some sort of derogitory remark when its more of a statement of fact..

If my mod was called slow or fast, I wouldn't care..

Heheh, so far EE is starting to "Stand up" Loving the remodeling :P

I think he was pointing out that AA and FF could not merge well since the playstyles of the two are too different, ie, FF takes 20 minutes before you can attack anyone (last I tried it, but that was ages ago)

I don't mind AA being called slow. To an extent I'm trying to improve this, but on the other hand I don't want it to turn into something that players might be unaccustomed to, being too much faster than OTA was.

Please continue to make it, its my favourite mod.

don't worry deci, Forb, Lathan, Zoombie, Journier, Firecrack and a few others would kidnap him and force him to do it if he retired.
