We may not be able to use ota music, but hopefully someone will make us some ota STYLE music , or find some ota style music.

I doubt copyrite laws would be a problem.
Its rarely the games studio that owns the rights to the game. Its usually the publisher.

I'll get to work on some music myself if you give me a format, and I will get the people in this community together through a content creation contest to make some, if you wish. I see a possibility for music libraries for different mods, encoded in a light format (MIDI?), of course, and then MP3/WMV... external folder audio loaders.

Well, I made amateur game soundtracks in MIDI, and some songs in MP3 at one point, so there we go... I'll switch to OGG if I get going, I expect.
