I am what I consider fat right now because I have a little bit of a stomach. I gained it when I was packing in as food as I could last year to get more muscle.

that girl is not fat. she dosn't have the face or figure to be a sex object, but neither is she remotely overweight in any criteria. she lacks muscle tone, which is common to most of the adult population and is often assosiated with enjoying life instead of counting calories and fretting over dietry requirements.

there is a grey area between fat and regular, to be sure, but she is pretty clearly inside the regular bracket. Get a random sample of 100 american 18-25 year old women and undress them, I suspect that girl would still rank in the slimmer half.

standards: surely they are voted in by the people, but if you weight the vote, with the bmi of the people, the fat rule the world.

Most of the human population is in india and china... I don't think there are THAT many obese people there.

Allow me to introduce you to a new word:

Skinnyfat!

It's the aesthetic of a body that doesn't have a large enough ammount of excess fat to be genuinely called fat by conventional standards but has so little muscle that still look pudgy and unshapely.

Smoth, you're always the one after me about my taste in "skinny" women. I told you that there are many exceptions, and this is one. Like I said, she's a bit thicker than I would normally go for, but I don't give a damn. I'd make her oink "Old Mc'Donald" every night. Twice.

I think you are still completely in normal shape and look healthy; not fat at all! Calling you fat would be blatant and so would be calling the girl aswell. She looks totally normal sized.

Actually, I find the whole discussion absurd.

Why? Because the term 'fat' is used when one wants to demean and uplift his own ego. What does being fat mean anyway? Certain percent of body fat apart from muscle tissue?

In everyday discourse the term has no substance, since everyone can subjectively define and use it - it's in constant change.

I don't think their is anything wrong with thinking that people should be more healthy. It's not like I'm running around screaming that all people have to stop eating processed foods and feeding their infants formula because it's leading to more and more people developing childhood obesity and diabetes. It's true, by the way, that all of the complex sugars found in baby formula are difficult for the infant's system to properly utilize.
