What was the REAL reason?

The real reason was the topic where this newbie came to talk about his game and stuff (that south african guy). Then he got trolled to death by various of other people. I had not posted a single message to that thread. Then the african guy raged at this forum and said hes not coming back. Then next day 10 people get banned, many of those people didnt even send anything for months in the forum. Regret got unbanned for reason of "miscommunication problem". Raghna got banned even when he hadnt sent any messages for a month or two, he already got tired of the forum for his (temp)ban that he got from some religious thread. And when i got my ban i had sent like 1 message in 2 weeks. None of those messages had nothing to give me a ban.

So, be aware: modders can ban you at any time if you did something year ago. How exactly does that encourage anyone to behave if you can get banned from what you have done year ago?

Justice isnt swift, but its like a spear, all of the sudden its here, going to your heart. Was that ban that bad, Trademark? Did you miss us, cried yourself alone to sleep at night? Did you smurf, and hated yourself for sinking so low? It hurt you, did it? Now, you are among friends, so tell us everything, here is a shoulder to cry on, just dont mind the saltcrust and the dried in snot. There, there- everything is fine now, you┬┤ll be back.

And I think a mild post-ranking system would be a nice thing to try. I personally liked the way Engadget had their old comment system, with a 4-rank system.

Well, Im not sure whether this is already suggested here, but wouldnt a system that merely just deletes/hides the reply/post which is ranked below -10 for example. This would remove the ones that are trolling and insulting.

The kind of ranking system which youtube has, If im correct, isnt very good for forums since you cant really rank up which are best/useful replies but surely you can vote out the ones that are useless.

Wrong, I don't want to hide every reply from a person. Only the ones that are pointless.

But the effect of hiding is almost perfect though, just needs a show button.

You do not understand swiftspear, schizoid episodes are not just a experience, they are a dedication, they need to be evaluated, hidden and well organized especially on the interwebs. Just imagine it as a sort of very touchy neighborhood comitee, who dislikes the idea of having one of its "Homeowners" washing dirty laundry in the backyard, where everybody else of the Therelivers can see it.
