your bar/seat setup is wild though, i normally have my seat stem showing about 1 1/2 inches, and my bars are forwards past the stem about 15 degrees. i think i'd smack my knees riding yours!

Well, I'm 1.90-1.95meters (~6 foot) and I don't have any problems with my knees :p
My top tube frame is 20.8", which is okay. Short street/park frame are 20 to 20.5", long are 21 to 21.25" so yeah, nowadays every bikes has this setup.

Low seat because you can have a better "compression", like bunny hop higher. Plus it's easier to move your foot above the frame to do tricks (tailwhips, mostly).

Also the bars should always be at the same angle than your head tube/fork so the forces when you land is equal and not pushing the bars forward. And it's vital for barspins, otherwise the bars will hit your knees if the bars is forward or backward when it spins (and it will spin way more slower, AND it's damn ugly )

Bike is in storage at my old man's at the moment. Front shock MTB, cant remember how much it cost (but it wasnt that expensive), but its light enough that I (5'7" 140lbs) could pick it up and carry it over a river (was about 3' deep).

Some good reasons for using an MTB in city riding (especially in Auckland) is that the city is far from flat & AKL drivers are very poor at sharing the road (cycleways are virtually non-existent) so the lower gearing and low-speed stability is great.

What I ride. Man I want Kaneda/Cloud's bike so goddam badly.

I honestly cannot ride BMX, having spent a few years as a motorcyclist: the feeling of going head first, with little to no braking options, and like 10% the traction I have on the Bandit... it feels suicidal I suppose it is compounded by one of my mates having a life threatening accident on his BMX.

Interesting... there is a Suzuki GZ250 sitting in the garage here, but I don't ride, and I still haven't forged all of the replacement pieces for it.

Not very well, but eventually I'll make something usable.

When you say "forged" are you literally forging? Because that's pretty hot, no pun intended. Type of thing I wished I could do but am eternally held back by living in rented apartments.

No, but that last frame was bought from someone who lived in North SD.

Spiffy rides. Call me old fashioned but I just can't bear the sight of modern frames that basically look "fancy." I'll go with straight-up tubes anyday.
