It'd be intresting to see how browser usage data is collected. Many applications pretend to be certain browsers, some browsers preload links etc. distorting the results.

Interestingly in some countries browser use differs from the rest, according to StatCounter.

Sweden prefers micro$oft, like UK, USA, France and most countries.

Finland is browsing with firefox, like Germany.

Russia is using opera.

I currently use Firefox 3.6 beta 5, I'm getting a little tired of it, some parts of the interface look like something from Windows 98. I'll probably switch to Chrome once I feel a little more confident about its plugin/addon system.

Just because microsoft chose to use active x as their implementation for plugins, doesnt mean they arent plugins
