Yeah, right... moores law pretty much states that when the wii MKII are out the ps3 will be VASTLY surpassed.

Sony didn't consider hardware advancements realistically, the ps3 will be outdated and then some in 2 years.

The 10 years claim was BS anyway, they said the same for their previous consoles. About half-way into it they'll release the next console, the "10 years" mostly means they'll let you publish bargain bin titles on the old system still. The only reason for it is so the fanboys can claim "yeah it's 600$ BUT THAT'LL LAST YOU FOR 10 YEARS AND XBOX WILL BE OBSOLETE IN 4!" because fanboys love to take two data points as evidence of linear progrssion and claim the 360 will be replaced 4 years after its launch because thwe first XBox was.
