Any time, and place, and HL mod. :)
Seriously, I'm always willing to spend time with the poor souls who stumble into my universe.

I will be buying a Nintendo Wii in the coming months, i do prefer something different than the standard sit, and move two sticks on a controller.
Call me new-age or just weird but i don't care, i prefer to do something a little different, besides I have a laptop for everything else!

There is a device that allows you to hook wii-motes up to the computer. I just can't remember what it is called.

Life is too short to be all by your lonesome all the time, and getting a RPG going is virtually impossible.
Swift, I may take you up on that, though I warn you; my carpal has a bad effect on my shooter reaction time.

Not when you have freinds like mine. They are insane.

Edit: this post was made with me thinking this thread was only one page long. I was responding to Swiftspear basically saying "wii got skillz yo, but no games yet tbh"
Yeah, I'm with you there. TBH I probably should've waited too, but I was too caught up in the hype. The really good games are finally close to arriving now, and at least it wasn't really expensive.
I still intend to buy a x360 at some point, but probably a year or more in the future. Just because you can't cluster around a computer the same way you can cluster around a TV when friends are over... I probably won't play it much myself, I'm too into computers. I think it's impossibly frustrating to buy games and not be able to mod them tbh.

My problem with the wii isn't really the lack of games. To be fair the 360 is the only console out right now with a lineup that even remotely competes with anything we saw in the last gen, but I expect that to change as time goes on. If you wait too long you get too much on your plate and you have to decide to put off some titles, which sucks.
My problem with the Wii is that I'm not sure I like the idea of active console play. After trying it, ya, it's fun, but it's not the same as just vegging with a controlpad in your mits and a beer on the couch armrest and basically forcing some unfortunate 3D character to do highly physically demanding things in your steed with virtually no personal effort. Some wii games are worse than others, but the worst of them, I really consider a full divergence from the reason I buy console games in the first place. Because PC titles are strenuous enough to play, I'm not looking for things that force me to dance or swing or flail.

That will be kinda difficult even right now. Stores around where I live still have pre-order Wii offers.

Heh, where I live there's piles of Wii everywhere and they even gave them away for free with a cellphone plus contract.

Almost a year later and I might still be able to flip a couple on ebay for some profit with a little luck. That's impressive.
Apparently the stores around here have got a couple in stock usually, but I've never seen them with my own eyes.

Regarding my earlier comments to the effect of, "Developers spend less on a wii game, have more potential customers, and need to sell less copies, making it the best (only) choice for developers and publishers, causing exponential growth (more games = more consoles bought = more games = more consoles bought...)":
