Human digestive tracts are not calibrated to consume dairy on a regular basis. Reprocessing of proteins is relatively quick, if lossy, when human milk is digested but the further away genetically a source of dairy is, the more resources are required to make good use of the constituents of dairy.

Why doesn't lactation of the mother and subsequent consumption by the offspring continue to maturity in humans? If you think about that, you'll be able to unravel why dairy in general is not a life-long staple. If you need help, look at the byproducts of dairy digestion. Compare the health data of affluent cultures who consume dairy in large quantities with other such cultures, then subgroups which do not, and then impoverished societies which do not consume dairy in significant amounts.

Calcium can be found from numerous other sources, lads. Dairy is not the only route, nor is it the best presented - milk is a convenient product but not a necessary one. The human species survived a long time without cheese, and it could afford to do so again.

Diary is alot better for you than the vast majority of processed foods we consume on masse... You can probably design a dairy free diet that is more healthy than any high dairy diet, but it wouldn't include alcohol, or pop, or chips, or burgers and fries either. Dairy isn't a vital health supplement, but it's decently healthy, and it's alot better than junk food one way or another.

What is junk food, Swift? Junk food is an umbrella category for foods considered by society to be unhealthy, yet still consumed due to habit.

When I reclaim the ability to discern for myself what is and is not a junk food, dairy is a junk food. Dairy products in most western civilizations are heavily processed, and components of dairy with known negative side-effects appear in traditional "junk food" from Toronto to Tokyo.

Don't even get me started on alcohol. So much money and effort for an incredibly weak depressant with few positive effects which serves as an extremely inefficient source of energy - if you're willing to accept blood toxicity.
