Just as a side note, using double negatives such as don't disagree makes your statement seem awkward and tends to confuse people. My English teacher used to tell me not to use double negatives a lot when I was a kid. It doesn't tend to convey your message very well.
I don't see anything wrong with that, since it has a bit different meaning than "I agree". Since then you might have an ambiguous position, where you neither fully agree nor disargree.
Usually double negative means a case where there's 2 negatives that don't negate each other, like "we don't need no education". Where meaning of the sentence stays the same if you remove 1 of the nos.

This is what I got from your posts:
  • 27.
  • Unemployed engineering student.
  • Strong focus on physical looks.
  • Keeps mentioning going to gym, his own size and strength.
  • Spent childhood behind a computer. Self-claimed nerd.
  • Sees sex as an achievement to brag about in his circle of friends.
  • Highly judgmental / prejudiced against others.
  • Regular negative comments aimed at women.
  • Admits his own anti-social behavior.
  • Unable to accept other world-view than his own.
  • Strong Christian beliefs.
Just thought it could be informative for you to know how people may perceive you.

As for your dilemma:

You became addicted to being led. You require a guide for your life since you never learned how to guide yourself. Shackled by your childhood and upbringing. Break free and establish your own view, rather than adapting views of others.
I pointedly disagree with the following point(s):
  • Highly judgmental / prejudiced against others.
other than that I thank you for pointing it all out, but your conclusion is wrong nevertheless.

I didn't say that his statement was wrong. I said that the double negative tends to confuse people. According to Wikipedia "A double negative occurs when two forms of negation are used in the same clause (smallest grammatical unit that can express a complete proposition)" The two forms of negation would be "don't" and the "dis" part of "disagree". The clause would be the sentence, "I don't disagree."

yeah but if you go to the gym, or go to church to a bible study, how are people supposed to know you are in charge

in charge of what? what does that even mean. How would you display the fact that you are ''in charge'' to anyone.

What he is saying is that people who are confident in themselves are strong, and that shows, and that other people see that.

The picture in his last post was Nelson Mandela. That guy united a nation, and he didn't have to raise his voice to do that.

Smoth is trying to tell you that you don't have to prove you're stronger or more special than others. Doing so is a sign of internal weakness, and not attractive.

Did I understand you correctly, smoth?

This thread is terrible, every single loser on this forum presumes to give authoritarian "advice" to op. Can we just have a lock already it's becoming embarrassing and a bit awkward to read your posts(especially smoth who is the most douchebagian of them all in here).

Lol rhetorics. Nice try.

edit: scrotum I don't think you come of as judgemental or full of yourself. Maybe a bit "out there" in terms of your religious beliefs but you have your whole life to migrate toward the WASP mainstream center that is so loved in your country. I'm sure where you're from you don't stick out although in my country everybody would go quiet if you said things like "jesus has my back".

Well it was 3 AM when I wrote that. :regret:

I still think there is merit to it though. Based upon your need to be accepted by your peers, mirroring their life values and the fact you live by a how-to guide to life someone else wrote.

@1v0ry_k1ng @Cheesecan @people requesting a lock:

Nobody is forcing you to read this thread, you choose to respond to this discussion. There isn't a flamewar going on so I don't see where your calls are coming from. Maybe don't post here yourself?

I think it's quite fascinating to read what people have to say about this issue.

You do seem wishy washy about making decisions and as though your doing all of these things like working out and trying to impress women because of a lack of confidence.

Nelson Mandela he was very good a conveying a sense of dignity and confidence. I'm reading his biography right now because I think he seems like an interesting and great person because inspires people to trust him. You don't seem to do that and that impression that you make on women is a major relationship deterrent.
