hey I improved the playerinfo widget to replace the /info completly so it can display the player nick instead of his icon, it displays the enemies team and spectator ping & cpu
http://spring.jobjol.nl/show_file.php?id=888
it's not perfect, it must be bugged because im a big lua nOOb
the archive also contain my profile
edit : i change it to be able to see 2diff info like "ping cpu" and "metal incomes", to center the screen on the players com it's right click instead of middle click i think

That it awesome... but why did you remove IceUI features like sharing units and changing spectator team?
Also, an easy way to identify who your allies are would be a good idea, I know the list is sorted by allies, but it's still too confusing.
Well enough feature requests, time for the bug reports you were expecting :p

(note that the second name is invisible)
Game I spectated:

(note that I'm not listed)
Also see the duplicate names, and I'm sure "Player" shouldn't be included in the list... You're doing something wrong

k i fixed the spectator issue, now it also save the height (actually the line height so the text always have the same height) and i also added an option to save the position from the top (default) or from the bottom( to stick the window to the the bottom whatever the number of player is)
for the empty name bug i'll try to fix that tomorrow
the center on com is on right click and the share is removed because i don't want to share units to the enemy while clicking on the list, i'll add an option
edit: the archive link is updated with the new files

Please note that you can't give units to the enemy with my ShareUnits widget..
The 'player' is probably LuaGaia.. So you gotta ignore the last player.. Note though that only spectators can see LuaGaia so only ignore it if the player is speccing..

Would it be possible to hide resource bars / other "secret" information rather than just setting them at 0? Would make it easy to seperate allies and enemies in the player list (which at the moment is a bit difficult).

Great. One more complaint though. Players dying don't go into the spectators part of the list.
Also more of them feature requests you don't like :p
A way to hide players who left from the list (probably needs to be an option, as some people do play with bots and wants to see them in the player list)
Remembering settings.

Also font outlining *really* sucks, is there something you can do about that, or is it a LuaUI issue?
Edit: also, duplicate names is still an issue. assuming that was the spectator issue you said was fixed.

Did you look at the original player info widget for reference? I'm pretty sure that does that. Unless the problem is moving them to the spectators list / out of the game and not just figuring out if they're dead or not (the original widget didn't remove players who had left the game, though an option for that would be awesome).
Remembering tab settings would still be ideal, though if you can't do that, can you tell me what I need to edit in playerinfo.lua to change the defaults?
Also. What the hell broke the layout of this page?

i took the original playerinfo and all i did was changing some stuff inside, i didn't make it from scratch
to save the tab settings i think i should change the iceui tab component
if one player die, and you type /luaui reload the player will be seen as a spectator, playerinfo just update the fields, not the entire window

Wouldn't sorting by allies be more logical? I think that's the /info default now too, but I'm not sure...
Anyway, on that list, nollyflip shouldn't be there, he *is* the AI or player who left. actually he never joined, didn't have map. Edit: wait I got "An AI or player who left again" and this time in a game where everyone was present.
Edit: btw, does that mean you can determine when a player dies, the default playerinfo does, if so can you make dead players display "dead" or something in the info fields? assuming the problem is you can't rearrange the player list... There's no way to see if a player is dead at the moment and that's bad. While I do, lots of people don't seem to notice "player has left" messages in the console.
