They still haven't told any news about how the space travel gameplay will work in practice?

It will be space travell on a realistic time scale..

Over 300 days to switch orbits- and if you travell near c, the game desyncs and your opponent will have all the time in the world to never see it coming.

CBA to watch the whole thing, where is it at?

I'm not terribly surprised. ZK players are quite active on the forums. And for a decent enough reason; often they rehash the same discussions we had years ago.

I daresay the devs might be a tiny bit tired of hearing it mentioned in every conversion though. But at the very least, they recognize zk/spring as a very evolved form of TA design.

very close to the end. Don´t know the exact time but should be in the last 10 minutes.

Edit: Here is a youtube link close to the part
http://youtu.be/MQavbTGaJtQ?t=19m59s

They don´t say much about it, just that they appreciate the forum input.

Only a few more weeks until the Alpha... Freude schöner Götterfunken.

Bug Report Nr 42:
Alphatester: ImNotProudAboutThis
Reproducable: Yes
Describe The Bug:
"Well, i late joined a ongoing game, and installed some engines on my and rove my main planet smack into the innersystem. The Result was a systemwide keplereffect- everyone was pissed to no end, and im banned now from every server for realistsic physics trolling. Please remove this."

PA_Dev replied: "What the heck. You all said you want smashing, hard, fun. Now you got it + the realistic physics you all demanded. Im not removing one line of well working code! Goto 68 65 6C 6C ;

ImNotProudAboutThis replied: "Its just not funny. Remove it, or i will tell everybody [was banned for whinening against the gods in public]

saw a vid of the alpha. REALLY REALLY ALPHA. Not worth looking at yet unless you are really big into this game.

Pretty much a dogfood build. Even BAR is further along than that.

From the Total Biscuit video it looks like they're going for a really, REALLY TA design.

yeah, its alpha as hell... but that was to be expected.

i really like the 3d world so far. Sadly it lags hardcore when i zoom out late game, and you cant really play without zooming out...

but nevertheless, since this is my first alpha, I think I will really enjoy watching it grow to the final product.

And yes, it is really close to TA atm... just with a very cool map :)

I don't agree. I think so far it looks like supcom with less units. Both supcom and PA are highly derivative of TA but are not TA like IMO. I would not mistake that for being like ta, just sharing design aspects(nano). ESP because of the vanilla looking stuff and the icon wars. I HATE icon wars.

Yep.
Watched as godde was playing it live...
Icon wars.
Game is already shit, even with amazing balance and optimized performance.

There aren't enough mechanics implemented to make a strategy game. You can't judge gameplay from the current version.

This.

The only big thing you can already judge in the alpha is the spherical maps. And that is a very cool thing.

How do you manage spherical maps, where you can never see everything at once? How's the UI for that?

And then having several such maps.

i can only speak for me, but i have ever got that problem since SupCom... seamless zoom makes it quite easy to get an overview, even on spherical maps.

They said that they want to add something like a minimap, and i am curious how good it will work with multiple planets. But atm, with one planet, its no problem... its just no problem... 2secs to zoom out, get the overview, zoom in... thats all it takes... additional rotating of the planet with the scroll-wheel or middle mouse-button is easy and intuitive.
