In XTA, not BA

i play xta.
arm seem to be alot more specialised units. that if used properly do alot of damage.

core tend towards more flexible units.

for instance. core at lvl 2 have the doomsday turret. its got loads of weak turrets that fire independantly with alot of armour. its designed for hordes of units

arm has (ist names something like penetrator turret... something like that)
it fires slowly from 1 turret, but its much more powerful (shot for shot) then the doomsday. so its designed for taking out those heavy armoured units. but if a horde comes along it doesnt fare too well. and needs backup from another turret or some units...

Completely wrong tbh, if anything its:

Zipper/Pyro
Fido/Morty
Depends on the way you look at it. You looked mostly at a one-on-one comparison, I looked towards generic role. Arm's Zippers are spammable assault kBots, designed to run past enemy defences. Core's Morties are spammable artillery kBots, designed to take out enemy defences so other units can rush past. Yes, the Pyro does approximately the same thing for Core, but less so; same with the Fido. However, in the way I see it, the comparison goes between the Zipper and the Morty; both extremely spammable and a mainstay of lvl2 kBot forces, plus they reflect both sides' weapons philosophies clearly. Then again, this is only my opinion.

For me there are few differences ... They are almost the same but :

Arm have got a T2 vehicule ingenior which is very usefull to reclaim metal or help T2 cons to make mohos in all the map, moreover they have a plane called the "strategic bombers" which can explose a fusion in one shoot and i think they are badly at T1 kbot but same at T1 vehicules ... and they are better at T2 kbot (with snipers and mavericks)

Core have the Tremor : vehicule T2 which is like a bertha ^^ its very powerfull if u can hold ennemies remotly ... they are better at T1 kbot but badly for T2 kbot ... they have flying fortress which are very powerfull but 10 steal fighters could easily destroy one so these planes are less usefull than strategic bombers ... and the most is they have a crogoth ... if u can make one in general the party is finish in few time !!!

PS : It's MY experience in BA mod ... maybe u think it's not truth ...

I always thought it was

Zipper/Freaker
Zeus/Pyro
Maverick/Morty

And then Fido could be the Arm equivilent of the Dominator, or Core artillery, or even a balance for the Core Goliath.
You are correct if talking about OTA, but i would disagree with the Mav/Morty comparison. Actually in T2, the only truly compareable Kbots are the first two. Maybe Fido/Morty, you have to think about rolls rather than weapons here. Oh, and morties pwn.
Cabbage wrote:Freaker is a builder in BA, its a lvl 1 kbot in XTA,

Zipper/pyro are fast raider kbots in BA,

Morty and fido in BA both have ballistic trajectories

Zeus > pyro, diffrent uses (again, in BA)

Again, BA and XTA fuxxored the OTA balance, so Cabbage's explaination works rather well. If you were to play BOTA, the units in that mod follow their OTA roots.

Analizing the situation from another angle, I think we can in fact say that, in BA, core is more concetrated on brute force while arm is more especialized at complex tactics like raiding and stealth attack.

i think, manored, that is the basic distinction made between the factions dating back to pre-CC OTA, after all, only one faction got the Krogoth

SPAEM ZAKUS!

... wrong mod...

SPAEM AKS!

I'd still spawn Zakus if I could in BA. Though that would be pretty funny. The AK's would be like: "lolz! Scales had been haxxored" then the Zaku's would explode them or something like that.

Anyway...I don't play whatist called, but I'd say...nukes. Lots and lots of nukes.

The core is evil. It's the oppressive imperialistic government that has become cold and disrespectful to the peoples wishes. They use violence to enforce their edicts.
Then again the arm is evil. They are a bunch of crazy religious zealot's who are scared that they will lose their soul by transferring into a machine, and will to violently stop others from doing so as well.

Thx Titan. That makes me decide too :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Core is female.
Arm is male.

Then again, when you only play multiplayer you have to play the faction that most suits your playstyle so you will increase your chances to win.

I play both, just for variety.
