Right. In any case, the dominant era of a united server is over and we have to start relying on mirrors in dozens. Wherever Gnome, me or Maelstrom does the coding, I can safely say that there will soon be replacement servers, mirrors, and options to add mirror adresses in case of a *universe failure.
