we could use another bitfield for radars... that way, if a certain unit should always be detected, for example, give every unnit a radar that can detect just that. this would, of course, be placed alongside the current system.

a detected by bitfield and a detects bitfield, to be precise

to place it alongside the current system, just make it so that the 2 values default to 1

Guess: I don't think the radar should be aware what kind of unit it has detected but it's obvious that e.g. a sonar will only detect ships so its blips could be displayed as ships.

Anyone else think this would absolutly own for small-scale sub warfare?

if you turn your sonar on you could get a firststrike and criple them, if your too far away/facing the wrong way then.. Bam they see you and pop ya!

Course this would be just one implimentation.

Yeah it would make completely new mod type, could be cool if it is well balanced. :shock:

So any chance of this being implimented?


I still think it could allow for some very interesting mods. Maybe if this were implimented with a more abtracted radar system *hint hint*
