this happens quite a bit in games like ZK, and it can get frustrating if the fast attack units ram themselves into the side of a cliff,get stuck there,and refuse to come out again no matter where you tell them to go afterwards. I have to keep it super micro around hills in maps because it's easy for them to get stuck. not sure how severe it is in other games though, it might be dependent on the unit size and shape.

I think that first and foremost it depends on engine version. Doesn't zk usually use 91.0 engine? Didn't 96.0 solve explicitly this issue?

My understanding is that while zk also works with 96.0, most games are played on 91.0.

I adminabuse my springies into 96 when i play ZK most of the time.

Then sometimes i play on other hosts where are too many people to adminabuse safely, so i have to play 91.

Then i rage.

it can be done? last time I saw it done was with 95, which took 10x longer to load and was easy to lag out. I hope they fixed it in 96.
I used to play some of the other ones like BA but haven't done so for a while

Yes, but it requires elevated privileges (being admin or !boss), and sometimes might not happen if infrastructure behaves weird again.

96.0 also takes a little long time to start for the first time you play a new game, especially if you run it from a lobby that doesn't use unitsync (e.g. ZKL).

It doesn't take longer to load, it's just that they changed the pre-loading screen black instead of transparent (which means you can't do anything else while it's pre-loading)

I submited the bug report to the tracker and got a reply to use allowGroundUnitGravity = false, in my modrules.lua, this has mostly resolved the issiue.
Tough i have observed that even then it can occour in rare situations, i think the devs should look into this a bit more, tough for me i think i can live with this for the time being.

I wanted to post earlier but work overcame me and then i got lost in things and have forgot all about this.
