Some behind scene stuff:
Video took almost 1month to record edit and finish.
I recorded app 200clips with total time longer then 1hour.
Almost half of them didnt get in final trailer.
All clips were recorded in "half resolution"(960x528) because of CPU heavy scenes and to save time. Quad core+ssd is just simply not enough when it get to 1000units smashing on battlefield and recording fullHD videos. Its possible but in 0.5 speed. (just try to watch and then record scene 55mins in game, few times...)
About feedback:
- [---] I forget about few important guidelines for trailer while making it
- [--] Too long thanks to bugs+bonus "upcoming features" clips
- [--] There is almost no base-building (appropriate but boring - eventually i regret not including few build scenes)
- [-] Some scenes are not smooth because they were too short and stretched to fit
- [-] 1 transition is bugged thanks to vegas render glitch
- [-] Too furious action - "explosions" (I got carried away like last time, sorry)
- [0] Strong need to include hell lot of navy/air scenes
- [0] Movie style, not much actual gameplay
- [0] Video doesn't contain the "BEST" scenes for trailer - finding scenes from 400 replays and trying to remember "which1 include useful stuff" is pretty hard.(considering my decision to use only MP games we played)(still some of them are not clear/suitable for new players)
- [+++] Video is generally better then last nota trailer.
Verdict:
I was aware of most of these when i was uploading video. After 1day and first watch on YT i get genuinely surprised how well it end up. Approaching my short trip to Czech republic i find it "good enough" and decide to publish trailer and not do any corrections/reuploads. Goal for me was to make higher quality, most recent version based trailer then last1(5+years old) from pendrokar.
