Are there no pirate underground devs?
Cant we be the badasses that run around renting swedish servers hosting ip infringing games?
stop all access to spring!! make it invites only.
Well be the cool kids everyone wants to hang out with but never know where we party.
f**k atari f**k IP!! fight the oppressors!
also you can think of *A mods as a Collage...we are not infringing on ip, we are creatively using gathered pieces of art to create something new and exciting.

Good enough since tbh the Models and Textures from OTA looked mainly crap
i would be more in for making remake and a better decent looking instead of butchering these and call it as a new sucky model
there are so many lazy devs maybe the support for 3do should be dropped seriously maybe this way spring will grow in an IP-free issue

He was talking about 3do support, not the legal concerns

Perhaps, but this isn't the focus of the topic at hand.

Not at all, the dropping of 3do support to solve the IP issue would not solve it at all.

hence my post, although I may have slightly misinterpreted Forebodings post, for which I do apologise

Lazy devs don't deserve to have their game be playable?

what i am pointing is
why the hell do we still got 3do support? everyone knows that it looks damn ugly
if you want to have 3do get TA or TA3D imo

we dont really loose anything as an engine by keeping 3do on board, not at the moment anyway, so why put the effort in?

Acctually there are a number of perfectly legal models created in 3DO format (Gundam, StarWars, XectVSMynn, etc etc etc)... many of these have now been replaced with S3Os, but I would hate to see a "legal to redistribute" model that could be used effectively rendered obsolete to prevent someone from distributing game assets from a commercial game without permission.
