You can do compatibility in Win2k and Win2k3 as well. In 2k3 it's the same as XP, but in 2k you have to enable/install some obscure service to get it... I forget the line, but if anyone really needs it I could go look it up.

So he is having trouble running it in WinXP right? Because I'm not. But my version is also calling itself 2.02. Erm, does that mean I have an older version? If so, why the heck haven't I found a new version any of the times I had to redownload it? Or is it actuall a newer version, making me wonder why he is still using an old one.

ARGH, I'm not old school-knoweverything-TAfreak... but I can read... emmanuel is using windows ME... 2.1 is the latest version... check the wiki for a link... it's not "supposed" to work in XP, but if you follow the hints in the thread it SHOULD (aka fixing textures/running in compatibility mode)

emmanuel is using ME.
2.02 is 2.0 (shorthand), and it does indeed run fine in XP. 2.1 is on FU, but it's probably not recommended since you have XP.

GrOuNd_ZeRo wrote:Guys...it's NOT compatibility problems, it's hardware incompatibility, I even got the texture bug in 98!!
open 3dobuilder, click view, click OpenGL view, click fix corrupted textures.
This SHOULD do it...good luck men...
I like to think it is user incompatability

I had no problem running ta and it's tools under ME, it wasn't my favorite platform (98 still is in fact, but I use XP for compatibility).
I also use the latest 3DObuilder made by Quantum Design or what not.

Well just switch back to 98. Going from 98 to ME is hardly a downgrade. Its an upgrade IMHO.
Emmanuel, as most of us are having trouble understanding your English (its getting better, but is stil a little hard to understand) It would help if you also posted your comments in your native language (not sure what it is, but someone is boud to speak it). It SHOULD help some of us with the translation issues.
But there should be a new model format coming out soon that will make all these problems, including 3do builder obsolete and usless. But untill then we are stuck with this old thing. Ah well, all will be good in a while.

Don't be so hard on him, most people can't speak any of their non-native lanaguages any good so he's doing fine.
I suggest you update your video drivers (what video card do you use)?
