I had a look. not sure about hte xmas background. apart from that and the way-bigger-than-necessary images you seem to be fond of it looks good. here's some pedantic corrections for the "about me" page:

I wanted a change and put the xmas picture up as it was a vast improvement over another image I tested with, it gives me time to find a better image over the holidays and tests out the flexibility of the design.
I think Ill increase the opacity of the dark png, and add a version with opacity gradiants from the top and bottom to help define the edges more
I changed the white box too
