I loved this game. Count me in. Also, are we gonna use the extra characters like the baker or are we gonna just go with the original three? I suggest the werewolves use the Spring lobby to discuss who they are going to eat.

Eheh, no, springlobby isn't very good about keeping secrets regarding who is in what channel.

Why wouldn't it work to lock the channel and give the pass to werewolves?

I thought a query of the channel status gave the user list away?

Maby I'm blending IRC and spring lobby mentally...

I suggest Spring lobby because it is something that everyone on the forum has. Many people use different IRCs so unless you can come up with a free web-based IRC that wouldnt mind having a whole bunch of new comers talking about something no one else knows about then Spring Lobby is the way to go. You could keep the channel secret and PM the channel name to the werewolves.

CarRepairer: 24 hour days and nights might make the game drag on a bit IMO, but if that's what would work best then I'm OK with it.

Vabor: Only vanillagers, wolves, and seers the first time around.

I'm out.

I think it's a great idea but I don't have enough spare time. Also being GMT+10 doesn't help.

As soon as we get one more, imo. Need an odd number of people to play, and a 17er is better than a 15er (seer gets a pre-game night 0 peek in a 17er but not in a 15er).

edit. If we can't get another, we'll shoot for Monday with 15. We have 16 signed up now so 1 will have to sit out. A 15 man game is a 7 day game, 17 makes it a 8 day game. Those are maximum times, either side can win it quicker.

I'd like to play, but if it comes down to needing one to sit out, I'll do it. I've played forum TWG enough to know what it's about, and I can use the time to moderate/model/IRL jobhunt/whatever the hell. So I'm not inclined to be heartbroken over it.

pharoph makes 17.

Now, do we want 24 hour days? 16 hour days? 12 hour days are standard but as I understand it they may be troublesome. If the wolves can do their wolfchat fine I think this 16-hour day schedule may be ideal:

DAY STARTS:
0300 US East (GMT -5) (3AM)
0800 GMT
0900 CET (GMT +1)
1800 Sydney (GMT +10 right?)

DAY ENDS:
1900 US East (7PM)
2400/000 GMT (midnight)
0100 CET
1000 Sydney

Then an 8 hour night - hopefully this will be enough time for the wolves to strategize and decide upon a night kill.

This sound OK to everyone? 24 hour days/nights would make the game drag on too much IMO.

This has the side benefit that I'm typically awake and at a computer when day begins and ends :-)

My suggestion wasn't simple enough?
12pm noon - 12pm noon is night.
12pm noon - 12pm noon is day.
