Uplink hacker game predict that a virus will destroy the whole internet and everyone in spring will play against GlobalTestAI.
Or AF will have developed EPIC AI which will go out of spring and destroy all humanity.
Truthfully spring will downgrade it's graphics so that 100000 units could go against 100000 units.
On the other hand I don't look that far!

+1 to gota for making a topic without stupid feature requests

A mod that looks and plays nearly the same as BA (if not actually BA) will still be the dominant mod, even though Argh as finished Pure and KDR has released upwards of 300 mods.
The engine will be capable of simulating a human brain (but nobody uses this because it's only documented in the changelog). However, supporting this feature means that the engine will de-sync after 19 minutes in every game. It also will only operate at full graphics settings on a very specific model of ATI card.
99% of the non-actively-developed mods (basically, everything but Pure, BA-alike, half a dozen BA forks, and whatever KDR is working on at the moment) will be inoperable.
Imperial Winter still won't be out.
The lobby will still be half empty except for 8v8s on whatever map is the flavour-of-the-year.
There will be no working AI.
CA will have moved in a bold new direction, but will somehow feel exactly like NanoBlobs did. It will still feature some OTA units.
I will still not have finished my HeirarchyHacker or Hardcore Annihilation.
Mac support will have been added, failed, and ressurrected 4 times. At this time in 2012, Mac support will not be available.

Everyone will still be playing BA, which will have managed to get to v7.2, CA fanboys will still be advertising CA (version 123424.1343/ZZX) and the lobby will get three more upgrades, which will promptly crash the server before being patched a month later. (And someone will say 'But its not my job' even when they broke it)
And lo, as it is spak, so shall it be!

Sleksa will have been cloned so he can play 1v1 by himself.

2012 is a long way away, odds are spring will probably be more stable with possible support for proper texture splatting, people will still play *A.
The rest of the projects will still be raising the graphical standards and doing clever things.
Gundam will likely be at version 2.0+, I will probably be at the point where I advertise gundam more and probably be trying to build a community of universal century fans. Much fanfiction, will be produced and hopefully people will realize that with gundam 2.0 they could make said fanfiction into a game using springs finally completed campaign support and gundam will have many singleplayer experiences for it's player base who of course will be ostracized by this excuse for a community.
S44 will be an awesome and much faping will occur, WWII neckbeards will be appeased.
SW:IW will add jedi and I will rage then never want to look at it again.
The forums will still have many trolls.
yan will have grown up and through years of us ignoring his less intelligent posts be so abrasive that noobs will attack him on sight. Also there will be about 3-5 more idiots just like him on the site.
CA will have finally moved away from the ta content and be ostracized with the rest of the non-A mods
We will likely have a great amount of resources in the form of skyboxes, models and base textures for mappers to use on the newly completed sm3.

complicated widgets will rule the gameplay; build a base in a single clickdrag, wave the pointer near the enemy, and sit back to watch the automated battle!
the korean starcraft community will discover spring and claim it as their own; you wont be able to play a game for longer than 5 minutes before getting zerged ridiculously. pro spring players will wear flashy vinyl jackets and appear on international TV. new lobby rankings will be enstated, for 120k hours (a smileyface), then 240k hours (an angryface), then 1 million hours, which will be a picture of a duck.
as far as the mods go, player cap will be upped to 64. BA will re-introduce OP jeffies and weasels. CA will use models of a minimum of 10k polys. SWIW interest will drop, when hover cars and planes become readily available IRL on eBay. Planetwars will have grown to the point where people feel they have to play it constantly in order to just keep up; children will be neglected and die of malnutrion. PURE will be released soon.
"maps" will become obsolete, as every game will be played on delta siege dry.

I am personally avoiding them for gundam because of the microsoft license on them. I will be doing my own buildings but also you have to give mappers time to use them. Agorm made great palm trees but people still make maps using my palm tree for some reason.

My models and textures will be much better

, lolimod shall have it's own website, and otherside will have made a website for ca where you can donate money to support ca, knobhead shall be banned and AF will have a postcount of 100.0000, td will not be released becaus smoth still thinks it's a porn that stops midway and there will be more autohosts than players.

@Gota in 2012 which out of 10 ways for "End of Humanity" do you mean?
In 2012 it might be that people will finally answer my questions concerning kustorion mod and I will be able to continue making it!

100% nonsence
BA, just the same as AA, will dissapear, in the face of people wanting more eyecandy,
MA, will disappear because of lack of popularity,
XTA, will disappear because of lack of popularity and an over-defensive (and annoying) supporter,
CA will triumph because I said so...just joking because of their popularity and eyecandy and patient developers.
P.U.R.E., after many years being maintained by a single person, that single person has finally found his dream job (of working beside Chris Taylor) and quit Spring mod developing.
Spring: 1944: Will either triumph or decline, we shall see.
SWIW, the world's interest in Star Wars has faded. George Lucas is bankrupt, and so is every Star War-related material.
Fog-of-War, will be correctly implemented or face decline in popularity because nearly all modern RTSes have Fog-of-War
A no crappy interface, will not be achieved, because I added that as a filler.
A last of all, Hoi gets a cookie.
I hate you.

you really should stop hyping yourself up about TD. You will work yourself to expect something more than it is.
