and here's why i suck ! i can't make good looking human face without model

Look at a picture of a human head, you'll see that they have a much smaller forhead than on that one.
But besides that, good job.
The forehead is the right size.
The biggest problem is that the right cheekbone is WAY higher on the face than the left perspectively (character's right). His right eye is lower, all the other facial features are leaning with left high and right low, but his one cheakbone is totally skewed.
The forehead is sloaping a LITTLE more than you might expect, but it's within the average human deviation. The ear is also a bit too high and small, once again, it's probably below noticable level and could be explained away by average human deviation, that one cheek makes him look deadfaced though. The mouth could do to slope with the perspective a little more too.

Warlord Zsinj wrote:The issue is not at all with the forehead, but with the features on the receding side of the face, especially the line of cheekbones and the eye.
So basically It looks too flat, which was what I was guessing, and now that you mention it, I totally see it. It looks like the left side of his face is pulled forward onto the canvas, unnaturally.
But like others have said it's hard to place because the proportions are decent. (I'm no artist..really at all)

KaiserJ wrote:as far as the whole thread goes, i like your style of art... a lot cleaner than mine, i tend to rush and scribble a lot. the anatomy work looks good to me, the only thing i didn't really like out of all of it was the look of the foot; the hands and limbs look great. something that might help; i bought a poseable wooden dummy (a tiny one, about 8 inches tall) to help me with proportions, and it worked wonders, as long as i began my drawings with a rough outline of the proportions and locations of the bones.
the feet part i didn't draw well on purpose cause i was drawing the leg :) i like your drawing !
and i want a dummy too ! i suck when i try to draw different poses maybe that is next step forward here :)
finally im getting more comments here on everything... it just keeps me inspired :) thanks all
I think i have now fixed proporsions and foreshortening and all other shit :D now when i look at the old human face i can see how it's all wonky

just did quick drawings
hmm... after watching those for while now i still fuxored cheek bones ! well im gonna take a look at those again later :)

fixed jaws a little and other little things

Already much better - but not 100% there yet.
Do you draw a sphere in order to help you get the proportions right? A lot of artists use this as a starting point, and it can be very helpful. You don't just draw a circle, but you draw the sphere as if it was 3D and see-through (kind of like a NURBS sphere), where you will delineate the sphere into hemispheres.
Here is a face showing correct foreshortening, though the angle is more obtuse then your shot. Pay particular attention to the profile/sillhoutte made against the white space, as this very strongly defines the proportions of the figure. Obscuring elements with features (for example, the nose in this pic) helps to create a sense of depth in the illustration:

or even leanardo:

Basically if that head were to start turning the side we cant currently see would look huge compared to the other side and it would be shifted upwards.

That's the great thing about photoshop, it's easy to move features around :)
Top guy looks good, but it's the easiest prespective to draw a face, so meh, also very roughed in.
Left guy, roughed in, I don't know if it was intentional, but the nose is very high. Within acceptable human proportions, but it gives him a bit of an ork face look. Not necessarily a bad thing, I don't know the character, so I just thought I'd mention it. The chin is extremely jutted as well. Once again, it's possible to do the character like that, but if this is purely for practice it's not a very normalized face. The mouth is sitting too two dimensionally, it looks like it was drawn from the front perspective, when it should be drawn from the side perspective. The mouth isn't just a hole in the face, lips project outward, they create shadow and shape accordingly, the lines of the gap differ from horizontal perspectives vs vertical perspectives as well. It's hard to pull out an exact quick fix. Study pictures of that perspective for more wisdom.
Right guy, very good, the only thing I notice is the mouth. Same basic problem as the other guy, although a little better. The lips are very projected from the center point of the nose, yet in his right cheek mouthline it looks like the lips are pulled in. You need to decide between fish mouth and line mouth, you can't use the spacial placing of one and the shadowing and line art of the other.

sorry for the resizing rape's the picture problem i could fix it but can't really bother

it's meant to be printed on postcard so the pixels that are running on your screen while your watching it won't be on the postcard :)
and i will make me draw something new tomorrow... i've been sick for few days now and it just suck's my energy and there's little big planet too to suck me even more

i did this little drawing today... was mostly study on flames and less serious drawing style :)
and it's not finished yet... and probably never will be

was inspired by the spicy ribs i ate yesterday

Spicy!
Your flames are excellent - I also really like the line shadowing style you're developing. But your figure lacks dynamism and flow - make sure you are making big arcing strokes with your elbow when you're blocking in the initial layout. Still some minor foreshortening issues to do with the character's right hip. Given the turn implied by the shoulders, more should be obscured. The arms also smack of trying to avoid doing proper foreshortening, but you get away with it because they look dislocated from the spicy rib explosion
