I'm a bit miffed as to the russian attitude towards things politically, their hard handed manner. If anything didn't the soviet union show this was utterly futile? They're just generating masses of resentment in their backyard while being totally oblivious to it.

those deaths could've been avoided if the chechens would have not started killing the russians in the first place~~

doesn't convince me in the slightest. AFAIK Grozny was one huge ruin when both of the terrorist attacks you point out happened; also, during both, russian forces screwed up _really_ bad. you also convienently ommit the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Chechen_War#Effects.

so you're retarded or you quoted the wrong things

it doesn't start with terrorist attacks it starts with the first chechen war, the rest are just consequences ...

and you quoted the first chechen war not the 2nd one ...

edit: plus the terrorists attacks you quoted happenned after both chechen wars according to wiki

Atrocity validates extermination. That's why 9/11 allows the Americans the right to remove most of the governments in the middle east.

Well it might give you the right to take action in some way but the question is to what extent you are allowed to do something and if there is a reason for an action at all. While it's even highly questionable for Afghanistan, it's pretty obvious that the war with Iraq was - well let's call it "random". Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 (in fact Al Kaida was one of Saddam's archfiends) and there also were no WMDs...

I also think that "Atrocity validates extermination." is a quite stupid attitude - especially not if you do your payback a thousand times more worse than what was done to you...

It's a politics-related discussion on the internet.
