Doesn't look like there's mesh deformation, looks like there's two hemispheres and a cylinder. Still looks awesome though.

Had a dig around, can't find this :( There's been a few change of computers, so I'm not really surprised. Maybe gnomre has it, or you can try PMing secure, who has an account on these forums...

gnomre: The videos that I have of the gasbags date from 26/7/2008, so the files'd be around that time I guess

maybe you remember how you did them, so people can remake them?
like "2 spheres and a XY shape and they move like this..."
they look quite good in the gas3.avi video.
