Apex sounds cool.

With or without "Lobby" is up to you...

I personally think something like
Apex Multi-Game Lobby Client
would be best, Apex as the name and the rest as a subtitle.

Apex is already taken by that thing which is more or less also a lobby software.

Does the name really matter?AFlobby is fine.What isthe most important thing is the lobby's actual effeciency and user friendlines.
If you get those right nobody will care about the name.

Do bear in mind that AFLobby is not just for spring, so names like 'uber spring lobby' or 'spring Lobby client' are inappropriate. The glest users wont be too thrilled by it and my eventual plans to support other game engines such as TA will be borked by such a name change.

brainstorm? sounds more like a game name.

Im also not keen on expounding the java-ness of AFLobby since users are likely to perceive it as slow regardless of the performance.

It would be like presenting you with the worlds slowest computer and asking how slow you thought it was, you'd say extremely slow, but I'd know that its not the slowest computer at all, its actually the worlds fastest computer.


Converge sounds alright but I don't really see a spark to it. I ditched Apex probably because I thought it sounded too arrogant, and Epic lobby sounds alright but I already have Epic AI so that's a clash of sorts, I dont know, perhaps I could have the two co-exist if I always refer to them with AI or lobby on the end?

'Rush' sounds nice, cliche perhaps? What do people think? I'm not too keen on 'Strategy Hub' but how about just 'Hub'?

If I used my last name we would end up with Nowell Lobby, and since most people fail utterly in trying to pronounce nowell (nowell != knoll != noel != nole != knowle), it would sort of fail utterly =( however, N Lobby would be nice, what do people think of that?

Dude... you cant make it into single word, it must have client or lobby int it, or something like that... or it doesnt sound lobby client at all...

This may sound dumb... But how about HubClient or Foyer or OSGLobby, or OSGHub (OSG standing for Open Source Gaming). OSRTSHub?
