Fucking spammers everywhere, going 'JOIN MY GAME' or 'GET CA'.
Quit it already. If I want to join a game, I'll join one. If I want to get CA I'll get it. I don't need you breathing down my neck and getting on my case.
What do you think #main is for, other than arranging games?
#main is quite different from random PM's.
I was talking about PM's. Sure, spam people to join your game as much as you want in #main. I don't like it there either, but whatever.

I just played ca for the first time today..
I was alittle off put by everyone going JOIN CA BLAH BLAH
but it was pretty fun and everything looked real sexy
so I will be joining any ca games I see now over dsd etc..
I reccomend trying new maps if ba gets alittle boring.

A single polite request is hardly annoying. You can just ignore it and pretend to be afk...
I wish there was spamprotection in PM's, though.
I got a BSOD once from PM spam, and the popups have made a fullscreen application crash several times.
I don't want to /ignore people or disable popups either - I want to know if someone has something important to say. ~~

A single request is very annoying. It interrupts anything you're doing on any program and switches your chat tab. #main exists for a reason, and you should never pm someone you don't know about your totally awesome DSD game.

You can disable the tab switching but yeah, it's annoying. I wish TASClient would disable popups when you're ingame.
Also if you feel your Spring experience has become samey your diet needs more Fibre.

Or maybe you need to go through a Kernel Panic.

No ones forcing you to read advertisements in main. PM's I can understand, but its easy enough just to ignore main.

A lot of people die from boredom these days. CA is fail with all the unnecessary updates.

How long have you been banned? We play STABLE now, so updates happen seldom.

I know, but still it's fail with econ center thing that must be built separate plus your autoserver doesn't work right. Your server have same problem that det had. And ban doesn't mean I don't play spring, I just get around it.

My autoservers work fine, I have two of them running games right now.

Why cant i get fighters from a kbot lab and have to build an air plant separate. Why cant i get hlts from a commander and have to build a constructor separate. Why cant i get i get energy from mexes and have to build solar panels separate. Fail indeed.

The 'Problem' det had isnt a problem, for the autoservers its actually intentional to emulate dets 'problem', which was seen as an advantage esp for 1v1 rooms (though it would be better if you should just join 'red' games).

It would be even better to be able to join a game in progress... is there a remote chance we see that one day in Spring?

I could probably hack something together that would send the entire game so far to a new joiner and run it in fast motion...

A few months ago NOTA was as strong and many days stronger than CA. Primarily for lack of hosts the player base declined. It would have been a good replacement for BA especial if combined with CA. Since the NOTA and CA games are so different they should meant all the needs a spring player could want. Where one lacks the other shines. Since the player base is not always there like it was before it is not ready to greet willing players :/.

this is why i made speedball maps, i got bored to the same gameplay... played enough altored divide etc, wanted some fast, unstressful meaningless games with no reason to ragequit since its all just a big joke.

Dont use fullscreen, you idiots. Make windowed mode and maximize the window every time you start spring. Yess... every time. unless someone knows how to automatically maximize it, C++ code would be nice to get... need that myself too.

tombom wrote:I hate random idiots PMing me going "OMG JOIN MY GAME" completely out the fucking blue. Especially when I'm playing something else and have alerts enabled and have to alt-tab to deal with it and ugghh.
Look for setting to turn off alerts when you do not want them. None there? Look for tickets of the lobby project asking for the features. Still not there? Make a ticket nicely asking for the feature.
Found the ticket? Read the responses. Can't really make a good graph of what to do further, though, depends.
One feature that might solve your problem is to allow disabling of alerts caused by some channels. If you want an 'ad-free' channel, make one of your own.

I think that would be alittle silly, you'd be burst onto the battlefield 20 minutes in then you'd prolly get flash rushed or nuke raped before you even got a solar up.
As another question, is the spring engine capable of 'limiting' bases, like how a jammer only covers a select portion of your base, but instead of jamming that area, makes it so you can only build in that area?

I'd say lua
