Arent you french?so why do you feel the need to put the us versus the European Union?
Compare France and the USA.
Plus The us did not win the war versus hitler.
The only reason Us troops landed on normandy was to stop the red army from taking all of europe.
Brits won in africa russians in europe.

Canadian Divisions (which my grandfather was part of) penetrated further into France on D-Day than any other Allies.

Canadian forces were put in charge of clearing ALL of Hitler's Atlantikwall fortifications from Le Havre to Denmark. While you Americans were enjoying the breeze racing through France fighting a fleeing German army (which Canada played a major part in destroying -- see Falaise Gap) it was Canadian boys fighting the most heavily entrenched and defended German positions.

Canadian troops were a major part in breaking the stalemate in Italy during insane city fighting. Canadians invented "mouseholing", ie blowing holes in walls and floors to attack the next house.

Germans called Canadian soldiers "Kanadian SS" because they were so damned good.

We set the White House on fire.

the juno beach is so tiny that the littles damage crush it underwater...not realistic isnt ?
i see a doc about omaha beach (half)failure its related at the weather and the poor amphibious quality of the shermantank floater(needed highest board or external floaters)
it was (half) fun to see the tank get in water and immediatly fall down sub with the crew getting out quickly !
