That would be giving away waaay to much information about something you don't have within your los.

It is needlessly complicated. You just need to know where you spotted units which are ghosted, and then the ability to target said units. Therefore, only the ghosts need to be targetable. If you have radar coverage over the ghost, either do as is currently done (alter the ghost in some way) but to greater obviousness, or simply replace the ghost with a radar blip. Overlaying the two is ugly and unnecessary.

In that case a non moving blip, scince you now exately where the building are.

I think the radar blips would be fine if they were less fugly... maybe like those green selection diamond in the sims hovering there... I don't know... I think that ghosts that are within radar sight should have some way to tell the difference from ones that arn't... I havn't looked at the game since I read here that they are a different color, will have to check that out... another option would be to put the wireframe model up for un-radared ones, and the actual building model for ones that are...

Christ... that's it...
Just as I told it would, this game continues to steadily fall with newbs lobbyng to make the game less and less complicated and more and more
dull. Go play on full LOS and you won't have any problems.

I agree

but we need full LOS in skirmishes :D i loved that in TA :D fucking PAWN the AI =D

that was fun. but online...Ghost Building I LIKE because they encourage scouting...but all this bollocks man
on one side MORE complicated- passive/active radars, unable to cloak radars...this WILL make the game more realistic BUT it will if anything deterioate (spelt right???) gameplay!
on the other LESS complicated... let me see how much health his building has/ what its building i mean SHUT UP i play OTA balance coz xta sucks (i mean it encourages PORCING AND it makes
weasels>flashes/instigators...i mean WTF!!!) so shut up play some OTA and be happy (yeah admin another flaming *looks @ floor*

that'll teach ya (i wish!!!)

Translation (I think):
Min3mat seems to start off by indicating that it was a confidence booster to be able to destroy the computer players quickly because you could see what they were doing. However, he would also like to point out that having people see what he is doing in an online multi-player match because he would lose right away. He expands, pointing out that the ghost-buildings add a strategic element to gameplay, and makes scouting a much more useful venture.
Then he goes on to list a number of possible "features" that would make the game more "complex" but would adversely affect the "fun" and gameplay. Then he goes on to accuse XTA of encouraging "porcing", and making certain units which are "supposed" to be useless better then normally good units. He emphasises that because of these flaws he will only play the OTA mod of TA:Spring.
He then makes reference to the fact that his statements could be taken as insulting or a "flame", and challenges the adminitrators to do something about it.

no unfortunatly i am forced to play xta every now and then...but weasels swarms are fast and powerful...but they are supposed to be scouts!!! btw i LIKE ghost buildings how they are now! just making it so u can see the health of that unit etc is stupid

Way to not read somthing guys. Really
ANd let us click on ghosts to find out their last known life, etc.
LAST KNOWN life... your not getting updated info unless you get it in LOS again. Sure, sort of pointless but you don't have to attack it because you cannot fathom reading the actual meaning of somthing.

eh.. about the "under radar" ghosts... iv tried to notice the difference... and couldnt.
Player color shaded (light/darker?) Ghosts may be?

You could have a bright ghost for in radar and a dull one for beyond radar coverage. Having time ago it was spotted is also good information, the player knows when he spotted it but u cant expect people to hold that sorta information in their head :)

you mean this?
