i've been playing afterlight. It's really cool. not very fun but pretty cool.

Gonna have to try Afterlight out I think. Terrestrials got very repetive

there is also ufo: alien invasion, a open source "remake" (same concept, but different execution) of the first xcom, still in dev


and ufo 2000, open source too, it (right now only) lets you choose a team for tactical fight and fight online, this one looks and feels just like xcom1

i think ufo:ai has multiplayer too, but never tried it
