Lathan - your rant in a random mapping discussion, combined with your rather acidic comments in the "let's kill immigrants" threads, leads me to believe that you might want to consider seeking professional help.

Or beer. Beer also helps.

Alright, back to the maps, lads. Minor detour, don't let it get to you.

So, I have all three of the above maps now. What is next on your list, Forb? I know Frozen Over needs features, and I don't recall any other remakes on your mind...

I'm trying to con him and smoth into working on Urban maps

it'll be like a group effort, I make most of the features, Forb does most of the texture work, etc.. and smoth does most of the balancing, and feature placement...

but.. its in the air...

I hope I can persuade more :-)

Going to a lan, what map do you need the most feedback on forb?

Lathan, the difference being that you can still write the words. There are times I cannot even write. It happens randomly with varying frequency, even during exams. Imagine siting for 30 minutes of an exam without being able to write down the answer that you know. There have been times, where I could only sit in class holding my hands in my pockets. People think I like my hands in my pockets.

Well, you should speak to the disability offices etc. and ask to be given verbal exams. They can do that you know..

its just a thought, maybe its a good idea, maybe not.. :?
sucks that you have a hard time writing though, I do feel for you, but we all are fucked up in our little ways, we need to fight and push as hard as we can everytime.

Verbal exams are up to the professor and the answer was no.

btw, how are those features for eastside-westside? I am going to make some other random stuff but keep us updated.

FORB, WHAT MAP SHOULD I GET THE GUYS AT THE LAN TO TEST!?!?!

well, I have 8 little basic buildings textured and ready to roll, I'll work on some of the planned skyscrapers tonight... mixed with your slew of cars, and stuff.. maybe some of the high power transmission lines I'm doing, and the few other "techie" features that have been made my other people... we aren't too far from our goal! :-)

the 8x8 map has rather too much metal atm for a 1v1..
also forb gotta say you need to get a better metal spot graphic, the silver buttons look damn awful. otherwise they are very nice looking maps

That's why it's a 3 vs 3 map made for Epic EE.

And I happen to like those metal spot textures, and seeings how no one is offering to make new ones, I will keep using them. It's not a texture BTW, it's a feature, Hence, the reflectivity. If you have reflections off they probably do look damn awful.

Forb why do you always make so huge maps? And I'm not referring to the filesize, but the area-size. 28 x 28 maps gets really slow really fast unless every player have 1st class machines. IMO maps shouldn't be larger than 20x20. 18x18 or 16x16 is ideal.

justin, the weapon ranges in EE and gundam are much larger in general the ta based stuff(with the exception of berthas etc) and the mods do well with larger range. These maps are mainly for EE

For me 32x32 is the ideal for TA derivatives. 64x64 would be my Gundam ideal, and 48x48 for E&E.

When you fight, do it right.
