Thanks for the file. I tested it, but I get major frame drops from 100 to below 20 when using it. Maybe later

Can you / how do you set metal and energy share levels? I don't seem to have little red sliders like on the vanilla gui?

Yeah, sorry, the sliders aren't there yet.. The setting of the level should work just fine though.. Just click on the resource bars..

Cool :-) Also, while I really like IceUI, in the later game, the performance of ym machine starts to really suffer, and IceUI doesn't help ;-) Is there any way to turn it all off, EXCEPT the allies resource bar, which is really really useful. I know you used to be able to ge tthe allies reosurce bar separately, but I've tried it recently and I don't think it works with new version of Spring...

Not yet.. But I promise that at the end of this month it will be (at least a bit) faster and you will be able to chose the components you want ingame..

In 0.75b1 trepan made it possible to have raw access to the widget handler with a widget. So now I'm able to replace the default widget selector with one that fits IceUI, has grouping and is also able to toggle IceUI components..

Tomorrow is the last exam for this month so be prepared to use that updater the next few weeks :-)..

What does clicking on chat window making the new window count as? cause it can be clicked unlimited times and he creates a new window!!!

by MelTraX
That's more or less only a workaround. Because the the chat window can't display messages on multiple lines yet, you can click on any message to display it in a new window.. It won't stay like that forever..

the ally resource bars just arent showing up for me in any games when i use IceUI. is there some way to enable them that i have just missed?

But the rest does show up? Maybe you accidentally moved it to the edge of the screen where a bug causes it to disappear..

You can try to delete your settings file (LuaUI\Widgets\IceUI\Profiles\current.lua)..

the allies resource bar was the most useful widget ever, a standalone release would be great :-)

Why can't I see all the player's kills/deaths like I could with "gui_icexuick_playerinfo.lua"? I assume that's from you as well.

Posted: 12 Aug 2007, 18:55
by MelTraX
It should work pretty much the same as in the stand-alone playerinfo widget..

I does, it does. Except it only shows stats on my alliance. So If I'm solo I can only see what my score is, which isn't as fun as seeing everyone's kill score is.

And my copy of the standalone playerstats won't show up in the widget list, so I can't turn it on. It's from this February and it stopped working probably when 0.75b1 came out (but I missed that upgrade) so I know it at least stopped working after I upgraded from .74b3 to .75b2

Ah, I see.. You gotta be patient for this one though.. Or do it yourself ;)

Fair enough.

How would I reenable that widget again? I mean, it's already written it's just not showing up, is it not compatible now?

Is there a command I can use to load it manually, like: "/luaui gui_icexuick_playerinfo.lua" Or something like that?

It's not compatible anymore.. I tried to make it work again but it wasn't as easy as I thought.. So I rather concentrate on IceUI..

It would be ideal if you included an option to change the size of the text box. Combined with the rest of IceUI it costs me an additional sixth of the screen where I can no longer make direct commands, and I would prefer a larger playing control area with the same functionality than most, being a minimal-keyboard player.
