I'm going to call it, Absolute Annihilation Spring, cause thats what i'm going to use it for, i suggest you all do the same.

I like all those who have Annihilation in the name like:

Absolute Annihilation
Mega Annihilation
Can't remember any more right now...

Sounds alot like the original and the sound of Annihilation is good and is very acurate.

I would loose the "Spring" part as it sounds soft, girly, ...
If it is meant as a birth or re-birth i would prefer "Dawn".

I've seen the avi's and its going to be a GREAT .... and MAJOR ...
upgrade to TA .... I still play it and looking forward to the day it's
release. So, here is my 2 cents on a possible name...

Total Annihilation : The Phoenix Encounter

Total Annihilation: Red Phoenix Project

Total Annihilation: The Phoenix Affair

I just want to add somthing too. Dont like the sound of Steel Orchestra nor Mega Annihilation.

The name brings me absolutely no feeling of what TA looks/feels like.

Also, 'spring' means 'run' in swedish. And 'jump' in dutch. In english it means all kinds of stuff. It's a good word.

Spring is a good name, for it is somewhat symbolic. It is in the Spring time when fauna regrows. Using this logic, it is apparent that this is a Total Annihilation rebirth project, duh ~__^

Now people can get it confused with teamspeak 2, PC version, this should stop your getting something similar to the /. effect when you do release Spring.

"Torn Alliance" sounds good... Allies of Old, Now the Bitterest of Foes! Could work, and implies a different enough back story to stay away from any legal issues.

"Terminal Attrition". That sounds pretty cool, it keeps the spirit of TA's back story... the world/universe is already over, and the factions are fighting over the ashes.

"Tormented Armageddon."

"Terminus Accord"

Lots of those pairings wouldn't work ("Team Alliance" just sounds silly), but lots do.

To be frank, almost every single suggestion i've read in this thread has sounded as corny and dull as it gets. I'm glad they decided to keep 'Spring'. Let them concentrate less on names and more on the development of the engine.
