I like it a lot. Its very easy to read and understand, and the amount of pictures really helps avoid the 'wall of text' feel that other guides seem to have.

The suggested squad make ups with pictures is a great idea. I just might have to steal that when 1944 gets closer to release.

/me is flattered. Thanks nemo, egarwaen.

J5 for the most part did the descriptions. Expect more goodness I think he will do a good job on the unit information.

Nemo if you want the psd I used I can send it to you sometime.

Just going through the awsome wiki site and notice the ZGOK's description is mising something
However it sports a medium weapon that can be used in and out of water. He makes good support for ACguy

I like it so far but I think it should be broken up into multiple pages, the contents thing at the top looks ugly and doesn't serve its contents at all.

Scrolling a page down though and you see a wiki page better than any of the others. I believe the closest in terms of looks and use is the EE wiki page, but this is better, it looks like someone put effort in rather than slap in a few paragraphs and hope adding a picture will make it looks good.

Pehaps something that would be swell: if mods could include a short description for each unit that would appear in a mouseover of the icon for that unit, either when the unit was selected, or at the factory that builds it. This would eventually get annoying, but if there was an option that could be toggled in-game that enabled this, it would perhaps make new players more at home with either spring and/or whichever mod they were using. Now, this would need to be implemented in the engine. I do like in EE (i believe it is) how the load screens have different tips for the gameplay.

this has tips in the load screens as well

also Me and Smoth are in the process of making/completeing a wiki page that includes a unit guide.

To all: I am still gone out in the woods. I am on dailup so I am not going to post a lot tonight. Fire works were cool, I hope I can make some good sounds with them.

I am working tonight on something that should reduce the learning curve and make the economy more manageable. Fanger already knows what it is.... don't bother speculating guys but I think you will love it.

Also, I still want to know. Does the new wiki make the mod easier to approach?

Moderator: jense1rk was way off topic, could a moderator please delete his post?

J5: slap aun for putting all the "\\\\\\\" in the wiki. They messed it up and add to it's size it will take some time to removed them. Also search for u and ur... you man... you! :P I'd make corrections but again, I am on dialup right now. Otherwise it is a good read, I may go through and fix a few grammar issues, I will definitely fix aun's \\\\\\

Aun: please don't do that again, maybe there was a reason but I spent hours doing that formatting and the \\\\\\\s were not needed. that and they are showing up in the text. preview before submitting man. I appreciate the effort but please don't do that.

Unitll I get back some time tommorrow. laters.

Fire is a neat sounding thing, and I hope the camping trip is all good.

I am happy to hear about the econ management. That was pretty much my only irritation.

With the exception of the dodai (sp?) some time back I felt that gundam was extremely balanced.

Wish I coulda gone and seen fireworks. I was working on my house all day long. If all the planets align and God tells Moses to go fuck himself, I might get to move in tommorrow.

Seems like everything is against me having a place to live.

:?

I only did the Feddie names and the lvl1 descriptions, the \\\\\\\'s were not there when i previewed/submitted!

Actually, the \\\\\\\'s aren't in the lvl1 descriptions at all!

EDIT: I went ahead and fixed it, looks like it was my fault, somehow...

Lol, geez seems like I have not missed much :P good luck with the whole move in thing. sounds like it is a pain and a half but hey, when it is all done I am sure you will be fine.

Well, I am back from the woods and now I have to go and do some more stuff. I'll be on and off but likely not on teamspeak tonight. :{...

Anyway, yeah thanks Aun, those \\\\s were weird I have no clue how that happened.

I know that some HTML tags are repressed by the wiki in strange ways... perhaps this is one of those cases... do you remember if you'd used anything like that when doing your edits?

(after reading most of this long topic I would anyway write my opinion even if it is not constructive)

I do not play gundam because I do not like very much the style. I do not mind anime, I am not a fanatic about TA style, but ...

So for me is a matter of taste - maybe at some later version I will start to like it ;). But I would play it if there would be more people playing it, because I like diversity and sometimes it's fun not to know by heart the tech tree.

malric, that you for the input. Maybe it will interest you in the future.

**Ah Smoth the good work continues... I know you have been getting a lot of critisim recently, and quite frankly there are some people that need to be a little more considerit.

A few things you might want to consider.
First your modeling and texturing is great, however, when I compare some of your work to some pics of the anime, I get the feeling like i'm taking a brand new car off the lot and driving it into a battle field. This doesn't quite match the wartime feel the cartoon has. What i'm suggesting is make the textures a little dirty and slightly scratched to give it the used look. Try to use more faded like colors, instead of the bright ones. As far as amout of detail on the texture, yours are at good point. More would might just be overly excesive. And becarefull with Spring's grossly exagerated super gloss reflectivity. This tends to ruin all s3o models. Try using as little as possible to maintain to used look.

Second. Have you thought about adding infintry to this, so that you don't start right out with mobil suits? It might make it more intresting. Though it would make for tini men running around that might be a little hard to see.

And lastly, try not to lash out so much. It will help your reputation, as well as your mod.**

To everyone else. Remember this is Smoth's mod of recreating an epic battlefield experinance. This is not some real life recreation. Don't judge it as such. If you have a commit or feedback, please think it through before you post it. We don't need people creating flame wars or bashing other's work. Quite frankly I wish we would have more people working new mod ideas or recreations, instead of all trying and focusing on how to reblance TA.

Ditto - but the engine is so limited to TA. We're stuck with metal/energy for resources, all builders are also assisters, no spells, no metamorphosis or scripted unit spawning, etc.
