I am in serious need of gaming, something small like http://www.creepsmash.com (multiplayer tower defense) but its been down for 2 weeks... help!

Do not recommend Spring Engine Games, i wouldnt be able to stop playing those.

Also no FPS nor RPG nor puzzle games nor games with no goals. Multiplayer a must. Something i can play every day few times and not get tired of playing.

Done before, was fun for a while... then i hacked it and found out the game makers were total assholes. lol, you need 1000 magical seeds (or something called like that) to get the final answer from the tree of wisdom... if some kid was playing that game for 3 years 10 hours a day, he might have been able to buy 1000 magical seeds. sad. Also the stuff you get from the tree is totally stupid and obvious shit, the best thing you can get is to turn the zombies into candies, wow... like that would affect the gameplay at all. And to get that, you also needed like 500 seeds for the tree =D

STALKER Call of Pripyat is the first game in like 6 months I've played to completion, and in under a week at that. About 25 hours of gameplay, all of it enjoyable, with all but two side-quests completed. It has all the usual STALKER strengths and weaknesses. If you thought the other games were too hard or not pretty enough, you will find no "improvement" here.

Cutscenes look and sound bad, but you aren't playing for the graphics. The story is quite solid and everything makes pretty good sense, apart from there apparently being no ladders in the entire Zone. (you'll understand)

Basically, going into it you have to accept that they don't seem to have had any motion-capture or voice talent whatsoever. Oh god, the voices... It's Oblivion all over again. But it's not all about the sound either.

STALKER:
++Atmosphere
++Story
++Fairly realistic gunfights

Clear Sky:
+More active world
+Graphics
-Dodgy AI
-More linear
--Bugs out the ass

Call of Pripyat
++Large environments
+Real side-missions, not just fetch quests
+++NOT A SINGLE CRASH, GLITCH, OR BROKEN SCRIPT IN 25 HOURS
-Wow, you guys took cues from the Oblivion voice acting didn't you?
-Environment graphics look really dated now, but performance is a lot better too

This is the sort of game where the voice-overs and subtitles don't match. It's the sort of game where you can carry 10 military rifles with some difficulty, but then picking up a single piece of paper will literally make you incapable of moving. It's the sort of game where you need to manually loot every body, remove the ammunition from guns before you drop them, and people will occasionally continue walking normally for a couple of steps after you shoot them in the head because their walking animation hasn't completed yet. But its redeeming qualities will make you completely disregard all of these flaws since the underlying gameplay is so excellent.

The fact that I bought this game at full price on the day it was released and only just tried it recently for the first time should tell you I was very half-hearted about STALKER as a franchise after Clear Sky. Despite that apprehension, I now strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the survival-horror genre. I played it on either "Stalker" or "Veteran" difficulty (I forget which) and found that ammunition was very easy to come by, so you may want to try the hardest difficulty if you're a fan of these sorts of games.

Overall if you can get it for $30 or less it's worth every penny and is a terrific deal.

I concur with everything said there.

Plus it was genuinely scary at some points.

Stalker:CoP is pretty good but I thinnk the creatures can take too much bullets.
Two magazines of the best ammo you can get for the rifle is too much unless the creature is a giant turtle.

this game is great, just getting to the third map (i think)

for each gun, there are two types of ammo, one for armour, and one for flesh. you are using the armour bullets on flesh

anyways i hate most SP adventure games but this one is excellent.

lern 2 aim

Unless you were talking about those dwarves, they're assholes and I agree. One pulled my ubershotgun away and glitch-embedded it in the floor beneath me so I couldn't get it back.

those dwarves are easy; my CS:S gungame instincts kicked in and i just ran right for them with the knife. (2nd hardest difficulty though, idk what they're like on the hardest)

also: everything (maybe even dwarves? idk) dies from a single bullet to the eye.

btw what guns were you guys using? i had all sorts of nice sniper rifles but ended up just using streloks gun because until i went to pripyat i had real trouble finding enough of those tan sniper ammo boxes; maybe i missed something
