[weird] Spring in little black box?

Hey folks!

I got a problem with my springie - don't know how this came to be, because I was playing some LAN games yesterday and everything was fine.
Tried to set up a match against some AIs a few moments ago and:

My spring.exe (windows version) only openes up in a little black rectangle, approximately 10x60 pixels.
It sets the resolution properly, but the springlobby stays visible while I can move the cursor within the black rectangle only.

Seems like spring doesn't load anything while in this "mode", as I won't appear in LAN-games after all.

Tried to fumble around with the springsettings, but that doesn't change anything.

Sort of weird...

Any Ideas?

By springie do you mean the authost software or the spring engine?

What version of windows?
64bit or 32bit?
How much RAM?
What version of spring?
What version of springlobby?

Sorry for picking the wrong forum - should be moved to Help&Bugs?

The problem appears after clicking on "Start" in the lobby - regardless of the match-type (multi/singleplayer vs. bots), so I think it's the engine.
I'm (still ) using WinXP (32bit), my rig has 4GB of Ram and I have downloaded the latest version of the springinstaller. So spring is 0.81.2 and lobby is 0.63.

As said, I've played some LAN-matches yesterday and everything was fine...

Hmm.. tried to run spring in windowed mode and no problems there.
So, how to fix full screen...

=O a 32bit machine with 4GB of ram?!?!?!?

What graphics card/gpu do you have? Did you recently install new drivers?

No, I didn't change any drivers or other settings since I was playing the last game.
I have a Mobility Radeon 4570 in my laptop - but it centainly not a hardware issue since there are no problems with other games, everything runs smooth.

Don't know why spring recently decided to run in windowed mode only.
