Documentations sur TASpring en français

Post by flanipuche »

Bonjour!

Bon par contre, comme.. here it's a english forum, i don't continue this topic!

Translation: The guy made french documentation for TAS, I recommended he add it to the wiki and then told him it's an english only board. As far as I can tell michil did something similar. I don't really understand what flanipunche said after that, I think he made a joke, but it's not really funny through babelfish. I think he might be talking about a scenario where people who only speak french are playing in a game hosted by a native english speaker. Then he says he's not going to continue this topic, prosumably because he doesn't speak very good english and this is an english only board.

Thank you very much,SwiftSpear, it 's exact. :-)
I am sorry for this starting topic in French and especially ...for the following. (I would have to do it with private msg). Ok, this information was placed in the wiki.

Cordially, Flan.

Funny thing. With all this french i'm actually getting better at it and, some times, i don't even need anymore to translate it.

And, BvDorp, if this ever becomes a «no people allowed who can't write english», i will do my best to make it also «no BvDorp allowed».

It's just this forum, and it's just so we aren't confusing the hell out of eachother and pissing eachother off. Also imagine if french people started flaming the hell out of eachother and generally being elitist pricks all over the board. The SY's aren't french, how would they moderate that? How would they know who to ban?

It's not that we don't like you non native englitarians, but english is just the language of this forum (and maby swedish, but that is the rare occasion)

My post was mainly as a complaint against BvDorp because of his atitude.

As for the «need» to understand what people are discussing, i don't really know. All i know is that i hate the idea of the elitism of people who can't write proper english not beeing accepted.
Imagine if the forums were mostly swedish and we, who can't write proper swede (or any at all), would try to speak english between ourselves and get the «unwelcome» tag...

I'm very glad the SY never talked swedish on their own board, and that save for french people everyone talks english. How comes it's only french people that refuse to speak english, and that dutchs, russians, italian, indonesians, never ever talk anything else than english?

That said, if this thread is meant to redirect all frenchy to that other site so they stop speaking french here, then it's good!

Many french TAspring players are able to speak english. There must be some of them on this messageboard, but it's strange, they're hard to spot because... you know what... they speak english  !! (Hard to believe)

More seriously (or not), if this guy really translated the TAspring docs, he must be able to speak english, so I actually don't understand why he writes his messages in french :| ... However flanipuche's work maybe just shows they're lots of french TAspring fans :-)

If you want a translation of his second post, he said that "english is a good language for technical descriptions, but there are many people who doesn't read it easily. They are some young persons who play TAspring, and their english level is still bad." He hopes that TASping will motivate them a bit.

(And sorry for the mistakes I made, I'm French, you know  )
