I would use a different font for your body text, something which is heavier and also more constrained horizontally, so it conveys more confidence and control. Also, when you have important links, like the 'More About Me' - they shouldn't look like other links and should share more with the statements that lead into them.

I first thought my monitor at work was dirty when seeing this.
I was happy when I realized that those strange "dots" are actually part of your background. Clean it up!
