grrr! i've played for ages and can actually beat some 5-chevron players (not that rank means nething but i want the shiny silver thing!)
please someone give me the silvery wonder chevron!!!

Or... you could just tell them to click on the help button at the top of the program and read it... or you could just tell him to play for 100 hours... which is the only way to do it without talking to betalord and whineing

Must be SJ you're thinking of isn't it..... you shouldnt be so menan against a player that hasent "earnt" his star but got it through "other means" ... he CAN'T be as good as the rest of us

We should have a few players crossing over into the silver star realm pretty soon... Of course they will all be good, but I bet it won't be long before "expert" doesn't mark only top of the line players.

if you are a cheater you could always start a game by yourself, then leave your computer running for 100 hours. Not that I promote such things. I'm just saying.

Wait, you mean to tell me that all those little test games I do on there for testing Battletech stuff (because running a server seems to slow the game down considerably on me) are going to eventually give me a rank? Oh well, I'll just say it right now then, if the first version is not released by the time I've clocked 100 hours you guys have permission to hunt me down and pry it out of my cold, dead hands.

thats 2 5 chevroneers i've beat in a 1v1 DaveTheBrave and Shintahr :D
i'm probs going to get there sometime this week unless Betalord is meen

I can't believe any of you (min3mat included) think it is in any way a measure of skill. When it was added there was a note saying it wasn't. Its just a measure of time, and 100 hours of only losing would show just the same as 100 hours of constant winning. Min3mat doesn't deserve it yet because he hasn't played 100 hours, and that is the only determinate. In fact, since it only measures time it is hardly a symbole of pride to be desired, the only thing it means is that the newbs can know that you've been playing a while and you can probably answer all their questions. Now doesn't that sound fun?

Now, when they update it to an actual skill rank system, then after beating a few top lvl players you'll find yourself there anyway so this request will still be inconsequential.

lol if i dont deserve it after 90+ hours how come SJ, Moo etc all get it (i'd understand if it WAS a measure of skill coz they are uber...but its not)
