Something weird in the springdownloader

Post by Adonai_Jr »

Ok, i recently (today) upgrade my poor 300Kbps conection to 2Mbit, and offcourse, the very first thing i does was activate that option "auto download maps for <all games>", amazing... don't have anymore to download each one individually and wait a day.

Few minutes passed, and my system becames to hang-up hardly... well, the answer are on my print-screen...

Anyone more having spring-memory-processor-eater? :D

ps: before i activated that option, springdownloader always runs fine.

Tnx!

Now you mention it, my SD is using up well over 80MB when idle, and TASClient is ravaging one of my cores at 100% when idle :-(

If you have onboard network card, try different drivers. I had similar problem with my gigabyte mobo.

Acidd - 80MB when idle and you have plenty of ram - its because its seeding torrents usually (and has some internal cache to be nicer on disk afaik).
If you maximize and minimize and wait a little it should show real usage.
If you are low on ram, simply disable seeding.
