It's not an attempt at smurfing.. there are no rules for votes at all.. but I'll edit. I just asked my roommate and he votes three times.
I shall not be denied my 500 pants.

Re: Nomic 3
I understood your post, and, in the wee hours of the morning, decided to ignore it and focus on defending my pants.
Re: Nomic 3

Re: Nomic 3

A vote is in action. All proposals are now dead.
Motion 315: All titles must be affixed to the beginning of the titled player's name in any list of players by a judge following the acceptance of this rule. No separate listing of titles is necessary. AND: Rule 203 is changed to: lurker has 500 pants and is the winnar of this game of nomic.
Proposed by: Felix the Cat
Any poster may vote either for or against the current motion. If the motion passes it will become a rule. A player voting for a passed motion will
receive 10 points, a player voting against a failed motion will receive 10 points. The first side to reach 4 votes wins.
Current Votes:
yay - 1 (lurker)
nay - 1 (felix)
"poster" is defined the same way it's defined for a spring user. If you're on our forums, flaming our users, I'm going to ban your account, your IP, and your email address, and then any account that seems suspiciously aware of your situation without ceeding any difference to your motives as well. A moderator is the judge remember.

Can you add some "killing your family and friends" to that?SwiftSpear wrote:I'm going to ban your account, your IP, and your email address, and then any account that seems suspiciously aware of your situation without ceeding any difference to your motives as well.
Re: Nomic 3
Where is it in the rules that only posters can vote?
I did it wrong anyway, only players can pre-vote.
Edit: If I vote nay now, does it then invalidate both votes of mine? Or is the second one invalid? Or will you just decide on the spot?

Re: Nomic 3
I'm going to reiterate that my roommate votes thrice yea now that voting is possible for all, and then I bug people in the lobby to vote nay and end this stupid thing. I never wanted to cause a drawn-out vote.
Edit: I feel I should say that I'm not trying to be nitpicky. I don't want every little detail expounded on ad nauseum in the rules. But anything not in the rules should use the common meaning. First, I would assume that voting has a game meaning, and voting is restricted to players, but, as has been shown, Judges also can vote. This leads me to think that voting has a more everyday meaning and anyone can vote. There is no rule stating that only posters can vote, and no real way to come across that via logic.
I also hope no one thinks I'm making up my roommate voting/trying to vote. I have no reason to lie, and it only took 10 seconds anyway.

Re: Nomic 3

Pretty much none of those votes are valid because they don't nominate anyone for titles.
Lurker: You must post in this thread to issue a vote, and you must be a poster in order to post in this thread, therefore, you cannot issue a vote if you are not a poster, and furthermore, the rule that each poster can only have 1 valid vote applies.

Nay and Felix is titled "Puss in boots"

Re: Nomic 3
I vote nay and nominate Ixoran for Primate.
Ixoran, your vote isn't valid because you didn't pick a title from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titles
And I still say that the requirement to post to vote should be explicitly in the rules.

I vote nay and nominate Lurker for the title of Coach.

I second this.nemppu wrote:I vote nay and nominate neddiedrow to receive the title of Duke
Proposal: Anyone that makes a vote or proposal that is made invalid by the form of their post must fill their next 5 posts with fish.
So things like not rhyming, not nominating for titles do this, but not a proposal being invalid because it was judged to interfere with exising rules.

whenever a player casts one of the (up to 7) valid votes for or against a motion, they must specify another active player to nominate for promotion.
