Added important note, please read:
Tobi wrote:- settings.exe simple mode sets ground decals to insanely high values. Use only expert mode, and make sure "Ground decals" on the "Render details" tab is set to 1. Anything higher will just cost you (a huge amount) of frames per second.

hotfix is here: http://graasmilk.net/spring/0.1.2b/settings.exe

just overwrite the existing one with this one

Edit:
then open the app once in expert mode, change the ground decal slider on render detail tab to zero and save settings

In the startmenu it says "Test Spring" for the lobby link - I think that's a SVN remnant... ;)

It's a direct link to the spring engine. It may be there so people know to test that Spring is working on their computer before they try to get online.

Also it could be a SVN remnant.

Note that unfortunately the server that hosts the installer content is temporarily down, so you will have to manually get maps/mods from unknown files currently. (see http://spring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=13349 for details)

the new release gives one problem:

Every single game gives each player a ping arround 1400 millisecs in stead of 333 millisecs. When the game is started and you change the speed the lag is over. I dont know if it's being caused by this release or because of the balanced annihilation 6.0 mod. But it's pretty annoying.

That is a known issue that is being worked on.

The new starting boxes are a bit over done IMO i think the previous ones were nicer. Also ppl without luaui cant even see starting boxes now

Someone needs to look into the old setup shortcuts. The Spring Test shortcut needs to be removed on install or the new Test Spring shortcut makes it look wierd with duplicates.

We also need to update the favicon of this site.

The svn revisions left a "Spring Test" shortcut, that still remained after installing 76b1. 76b1 added a "Test Spring" shortcut, thus you have to similar named shortcuts doing the exact same thing.

Well if you're testing SVN versions you can handle the task of deleting a stray shortcut. You wouldn't have that problem if you also used the SVN installer to uninstall the SVN spring before installing regular spring.

No, it happens for SVN and the installer released in this thread.

Install 0.75b2
Install 0.76b1

You end up with quite a few duplicate shortcuts with similar but not quite the same names. The old ones should be deleted.

just a little note: the thing where a few people just crash at the same time is still in. so pretty bad release for me cause im always one of them.

also why does it say "timed out" when people don't time out but just leave.

Will I have to wait for new mod versions or do the ones working with 0.75b2 work with 0.76b1 too?
