how long does this last for? i feel funny, i've not had one battle today

Reading the private forum, and seeing some of your behaviour...I can't speak for the other mods but I won't be unbanning you, personally.

You were autobanned for flooding, which only occurs if you spam in a rather epic manner.

i kept trying to type this really long message but it wouldnt let me so i kept cutting abit of the end and it kept telling me it was too big then i just got banned?

And someone must unban me cus spring is everything to me i was on it all for 8 weeks straight all through the holidays and i'm still on everyday and i dunno why i can't stop and when i leave it for a day or so i need to get back on it... i need rehab or something.

been sitting here for a while now... does anyone know how long that thing lasts? i'll just sit here till it unbans... why does it have to be on the weekend

whats that got to do with anything? and this time it was not even a human. i've never even heard/seen this auto-ban thingy before. how silly to have it

Afaik it lasts until the server restarts, or you get a new ip. For future reference, the limit for a floodban is huge, 20KB in a single second. And the limit of what you can say in a single message is 1K, which is more than enough for anything under a paragraph, and means it takes 20 times the message size limit in a single second to get floodbanned.

Sounds like you need a break from spring, to be honest.

Copy pasting huge text files still triggers the ban because the server still parses the crap being sent even if it ultimately refuses to acctually transmit the message.

I can't find your IP on our banlist HUL, so I couldn't unban you. Keep in mind for the future though, the spring server doesn't have any patience for people fucking with it, intentional or otherwise.

AFLobby filters out messages that would get you banned and tells you there and then.

It also caches data to be sent so that it never sends more data than its allowed to. So you can send 50 thousand messages, and itll send them alla nd you wont get banned, it just wont send them all at once (it can only send 10kb per second, any more is cached and sent the following second and so on..)

I'm aware, I still consider flooding bans a 1 free pass, as they are very possible to do accidentally if you aren't aware of the limitation in place.
