Favourite soundtracks from movies??

Post by Muzic »

Star Wars. I can hum pretty much any starwars theme ever concieved except for maybe Vode An.

Ocean's Series. Ocean's 12 to be specific. Very classy : )

Kill Bill I & 2 + Pulp Fiction. QT has a very good selection in all of his films.

And Hackers (1995) had a pretty awesome soundtrack too and had Massive Attack : O.

28 Days later (Godpseed You Black emporer pwn joo all)
Requiem for a dream
John Williams is too good to confine to any one film (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurrasic Parc, Jaws etc etc etc)
A Life Less Ordinary - purely for the track of the same name by Ash

edit: omfg i spelled park with a c :/

I haven't read Pride and Predjudice, but the movie was good so I don't think the book could be that bad even if it isn't as interesting as something like Brave New World or Through the Looking Glass.

Wait... With David Bowie?

Anyway, John Williams is one of the best modern composers, and the Star Wars music is some of his best.

Yes, with David Bowie.

Also, I posted this in another thread, but I think that Hans Zimmer and Yoko Kanno are great composers.

A few more movies with good soundtracks are:

Brotherhood of the Wolf
The Last Samurai
Gladiator
300
Kingdom of Heaven

The 300 soundtrack was incredible. It's just kind of one of those things that really makes the movie.

IMHO only Hot Gates were worth listening. The rest was fine during the movie, but standalone is meh.
