Well if your gonna join the army, make it the canadian one.
Bush has warped the minds of americans(Like Deci :\) into thinking that all Iraqi's and Afgani's are terrorists...Damn him.
Well, at least the republicans totally failed this election. Lesse how bad the Democrats can screw this up. A shame that its always voting for the lesser evil.

Not Bush alone, but the media that is constantly (or worse yet, increasingly) imposinf the ideas of racism and violence to everyone who blindly accepts them. Unless every single one of the racists on this planet miraculously disappear in a flash, they will continue to poison the minds of the next generation.
EDIT: Oh yeah, let's see how the Democrats do. Anyway I am safe from Bush's invation because there is no oil in here and it is not a good place for him to place his nuclear missiles (that is, unless he wakes up one morning and suddenly decided to melt away the whole arctic ice cap in a few days instead of waiting for decades).

I love how you two say Bush has warped the minds of Americans into thinking that all afgani and all iraqi people are terroists. As if ALL americans are brainwashed and ALL americans blindly listen to everything thing they say.

Also Deci NEVER said that he thought ALL iraqis are trying to kill him. He just said he wasn't going to be open minded to people who were trying to kill him, like...well...terroists.

I know. This is a common mistake made by everyone (I am no exception) to assume that someone is refering to ALL people in a specific group. That's how misunderstanding starts.

And for fuck's sake, what kind of person actually wants to learn to kill and "play with explosives"? What are you, twelve? If you want to make America safer, become an activist for fair trade, donate to organisations that teach villagers in third world countries how to build wells, support politicians who endorse diplomacy instead of war, and in a couple of decades, most of the rest of a world will run out of reasons to hate you.

What do you think will make people like America again? Restrictive trade agreements that keep poor countries poor? Sending nervous 19-year olds into foreign countries that shoot buses full of schoolchildren because they feel threatened? Bullying and ignoring diplomats of other countries? Advocating the "glass parking lot" and "kill all the hadjis"? "Fight them here so we don't have to fight them here?" "Terrorists want to blow up our children?" If you seriously think that, join the army and get yourself shot. You'll be doing the western world a favour.

Pah, terrorists. Ridiculous. Even if you had one 9/11 a year, more Americans would die of slipping in their showers. So? War on Showers! More Americans are accidentally shot by a family member each year. War on Guns! Even if you had one 9/11 a month, more Americans would die in traffic accidents each year. War on Cars!

Terrorism is a negligible threat. And if it is serious, it is not something that you can send an army to destroy. Terrorism is not a missile silo somewere in Russia, or an Aircraft carrier in the Pacific. You can't blow it up, you can't nuke it, you can't make it disappear by killing thousands of people. Terrorism is an idea, and there are people in the world that think it is a good idea. That will never change. You can influence how many people think this way, but you won't do that by keeping their countries poor and invading them for no reason.

I always thought the best was yo ruin a terroists day is to just laugh at them. They are just bully's with explosives. They want us to bow to them in some way or another, or else they start blowing things up. Best way to repond to that is just laugh at their idiocy.

Oh and use those bomb sniffing dogs. And security helps too. And other nice things like X-ray machines and police officers...

Well said. Unfortunately, for some americans who have been brainwashed, namely, Deci and Spiked (though he is supposed to ba a Canadian), these methods are totally useless and pointless, because Bush WANTS WAR!!! OIL!!! AND POWER!!! UNLIMITED POWER!!! OK, he can't use force lightning, though.

EDIT: Felix: LOrDo never said so. It is your subjective thought. He only meant SOME americans have been brainwashed. SOME. The rest can be anything: neutral, democrat, etc.

The problem is, my friend, that it is by and large not poor villagers from third world countries who are crashing airplanes into buildings and blowing holes in boats and blowing up subways and buses. Many of the 9/11 attackers were educated men from middle-class families.

If poverty leads to hate of America leads to terrorism then, by your logic, the 9/11 hijackers should have originated primarily from Mozambique, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Somalia - not from Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Support politicians who endorse diplomacy instead of war? With all due respect, fighting terrorism is a little bit more complex than ending a schoolyard duel. We're not going to stop terrorist attacks from happening again by sitting around a table talking about our feelings. This is exactly what I was referring to by head-in-the-sand liberalism.

to be honest, The only solution to the Koreans is to leave them alone. as long as nobody invades them, there should be no trouble. They'll just have to be treated with the respect of the other powers no matter how demented their leadership. if they do laugh an offensive, america will have an airborne amarda in there before the missles even land and its goodbye communism and anyone alive.

The point is, if many of your fellow citizens are suffering from poverty, and that is caused by a certain country, while you have the money and the ability, would you revenge for them? Just that they are educated middle-class dosn't mean EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM IN THE COUNTRY is educated middle-class.

By being diplomatic we can't stop people who are already terrorists, but we can STOP MORE PEOPLE FROM BECOMING ONE. That is the point: to solve a problem, first we have to stop it from becoming worse. And do remember, terrorists are humans, too, just like you and me. If they see that America is actually friendly (which, thanks to all those replubicans and Bush-worshippers, would probably never happen) they may turn away from terrorism. They have only been brainwashed by their leaders to do stupid things. Just like some americans. And many others alike.

EDIT: Also are we even sure if the Korians HAVE a bomb? THe information I hear is that they were blowing it out their ass and only got a 'kind of nukelear' explosion.
