TASClient window won't come up: Reset Registry information.

Post by ApathyZer0 »

Currently when I log into spring it minimizes and sits there. I cannot in any way shape or form get the screen to come up. Is the lobby down? I've been looking around and i haven't seen any announcements related to this.

Have also tried re installing spring to see if it was a problem on my side. Same issue remains. If anyone could give some info on this it would be appreciated.

Try deleting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TASClient from the registry, this is where all the window information for tasclient is stored. Then reinstall.

Please, someone make a post about resetting Spring and TASClient's registry information and sticky it.

Even better, someone make a .reg file for it. Download, doubleclick, click 'ok'.

Ok, I'm back.
Decimator, I'm assuming you're referring to the registry located in System32\Config\Software ... yes?(as i'm currently on a NT Platform)

Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate the files you mentioned or anywhere else on my hardrive.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Yeah, use regedit! This is about registry information, not files. The registry itself is a single file (user.dat) and you can't delete anything out of it without an editor. Simply use regedit since it comes with windows.

Ahhhhh, that makes a bit more sense now. I have amended the registry and now my beloved spring works wonderfully again. Many thanks to Decimator for help, and Rattle as well, for clearing up that misunderstanding.
Now it's time to lose some fights! Yeah!!

Well i had a problem with that the battle window was half stuck under the type box for the channels i.e #main #XTA #knox ect.....

This ment i could not use the tab feature to auto assigne XTA at the top of the battle selection window. Nor could i see the top, i was stuck looking at a full page of AA.

After a big brandy to steady my nerves from the horror, i found this page!
[KnoX]P3374H posted a yummy pic. With an option i never realy took notice of before.

After trying the usual trash the program (eaven used Registary mechanic) and re-install hoping all will be well, IT WASNT! The same problem still occured.

So i tryed [KnoX]P3374H 's idea, n hey presto! I found my beloved XTA again.

(Apart from i 4ot my password for my name, OOP)

If you have the same problem as I, do what i did. Just rememebr to copy over your maps if your going to totally delete spring. (and remember ur PW  )
