There's collision detection projects out there, physics projects...

Yeah, there are a lot of nice library projects out there.

But which ones have a GPL compatible license, are under active development and work stable on many different platforms?

Easy to use, good documentation and low dependency on other projects are great pluses too.

Ya, I agree, we should all just move over to that other RTS that recreated TA and is fully documented, easy to use, and has no dependency on other projects.
