New animation

Post by VonGratz » 19 Jun 2005, 20:11

I dont know much of Spring programming but..It is possible to substitute GAFs 8 bits for GIFs 24 bits or some another format that will show more colors????
For example, a movie of a waternuke explosion by Ender in 24 bits is VERY cool to see .

Those types of animations are taken care of by the Spring Particle system. No GAF files are ever used.

It's only because the SY directly imported the file from XTA without even bothering cleaning them. I deleted all .gaf and noticed no difference. It also has been stated that Spring doesn't even know how to read .gaf files.
