EE version 0.173 Final (no more stuffs)

Expand and Exterminate version 0.173 is released, this version has numerous balance changes and several graphical tweaks. These are detailed in the latest post. In addition Please try this version and Have fun it should be fairly well balanced, any additional issues report back to me..

The mod looks great. It has come so far. Although this 56k connection just caught fire from loading the page (out of town again). IMHO EE should be bundled with spring instead of TA content.

Well I just trounced an enemy through use of the Navy and Airforce. I really wish I had built some aircraft carriers, as that would have made my bombing runs much more effective. Fule adds a HUGE facet into the game. And did someone fix the bomber behaviour, cause they actaully work now. A very nice suprise.

Fun fun fun fun fun fun. THis mod needs to be going out with TA Spring. Or should I say regular Spring. They dropped the TA, right?

There's one minor issue with the rocket model which can be seen on the screenshots and it's really easy to fix. The rocket's exhaust flare aren't exactly in the right position.

It would have to replace XTA then since it still uses cavedog textures as far as I can tell. I have no idea what state XTA is in but I'd guess it isn't exactly the best mod out there. Also if it comes with Spring you'll see too many people play the version that was included instead of any newer version that may have come out afterwards (AF had that problem when his AI was included).

Not true, the copyrights are belonging to fang though, as opposed to some commercial entity that we can't reach for legal permission.

The mobile shield units were removed because they cannot be balanced in their current state. Fang had applied a unitlimit to them so that they could be useful, but you couldn't build the flaming green blob of doom. However, we discovered that the unitlimit does not work properly and was being applied to the wrong units. Therefore, they were cut until we can get either the unitlimits working right, or we get some new tags for the shields which I am going to write a feature request for.
