Spring message board in your mobile!

Post by Fnordia » 22 Sep 2008, 20:22

It is now possible for you to read our news and message board in your mobile phone. To get access to our pages, go to http://www.squace.com/url/http://hosted ... lan-sy.com and download an application called Squace (also to be found at http://www.getjar.com). The application is free to use but you have to pay your operator's traffic charges. The amount of data is rather small though, much less than with a regular mobile browser such as Opera mini.

Sigh, when will these people start making websites that work with firefox?

I'm trying to get it but so far in all my attempts the text has never come, however I just did it with IE so we'll see if that works.

If you used CSS instead of tables then you could provide a mobile version of this site quite easily.

Right now using a service like this actually costs me money whereas opening a browser such as mini Opera or Safari is actually free and costs me nothing as part of my contract

Who's your service provider, AF? I've never heard of such a contract.

O2 UK, I have the mandatory wifi and Internet bolt on as part of my contract, so I can access the internet everywhere as part of my monthly contract
